MOST people do think like that but the original product has to come from somewhere so it's really a win/win situation.

In some cases until that drives them out of business and then all you are left with is the few that are still floating around

And im all for helping someone out if they need it but there's a difference in somone needing help and the average Joe trying to pawn it off on someone for what they paid

Then there is a simple solution for you...DON'T buy IT. Why complain about it? If you think the person is overpriced, simply close the window and don't look back.

Ffs you missed the point of this thread. You don't like what I have to say simply close the window and don't look back. My point is I wanna know what makes ppl think their used products are worth what they paid for it new. Its about their mind set jesus

No I haven't missed the point you're trying to make. What you're missing is that people are going to price something at what THEY want for it and NOT what you want to buy it for. It's like an antique...set YOUR price due to what YOU think it's worth. If a customer doesn't think it's worth what you want, they walk on...classies aren't any different.

Let me put it into terms that everyone can understand. I bought a.echo about 5 months ago for I think it was $55 and I put it up on classys for 50 after I used it off and on for 5 months. Would you buy it for that price? No you would think what's wrong with this guy is he crazy?

This is getting to be like beating a dead horse with a stick. A few days ago, I bought a couple of egoT batteries off the classies. I know how much they are new with shipping so keep that in mind. The person selling them didn't like them and were 2 months old. I paid $2 less for them and without any shipping. It not only helped the person out to get some money back but I happen to like them so it didn't bother me. Did I get ripped off? Not in my opinion because I wanted them.

If you wanna go ahead and do it that's fine that's all you and they probly weeny used very much at all were they? Once again you don't get it its like I'm talking to a wall this is about buying something used like actually used of you read back I said if its only.been used once or twice that's fine ill take that but if its weeks or months of use. Then why would you pay almost retail and throw that shipping crap out of here I already said I don't care if I have to pay shipping. If you don't like the conversation them leave it because you obviously you still don't get it. Hence why I have to keep explaining it

Exactly...I could put my REO Woods up for sale at over what I paid new...why...cause you can't get them from Rob now. But my Provari...no...because they have them for sell on the website...It's all just supply and demand:)

Don't be afraid to make an offer on something you want...what is listed in only an asking price...kind like buying a used car:p

The other benefit of buying off the classifieds, and it will look like its too high priced, are the ones that offer extras with the item. Mods dont come with batteries and chargers, drip tips, shields, tanks etc. When you figure out the price of each, the item looks too high priced. Go figure in the shipping for EACH part of the offer and you realize the bargain your getting. This does not hold true of the china made products. Those are usually set by relative newb's seeing mods sell used for near new prices. They dont realize the difference yet. China made items have no wait time, no supply/demand factor, they have low profit built in for mass sales, and the items dont last. Mods are like 4 wheel drive diesels. They hold their value. Most have the maker still in business for low repair costs. When you know what your looking at, you know the value. But there is definitely a learning curve. I still get caught on this one. So I start high and go down as needed. Expect on my darn Buzz. That suckers worth what I'm asking and I still cant sell, even though Buzzes havent been available new since about Oct 13. Oh well, I know its value, so I'll prolly just pull it and wait a while before offering it again.
Just my:2c:

Let me put it this way, why should I sell it for 20 bucks if someone is willing to pay 50?

So youhad rather screw somone over then give them a fair price? You are the type of person I'm talking about you know nothing about how items depreciate over time and use

Sorry, a fair price is what I SET! You sound like someone that just likes to complain...nuf said.
