Using a 510 Atty Connector in a Puck?

Hi ECF,
I'm planning on building a puck box-mod sometime soon, but the tutorial (see puckecig.com) calls for a 901 atomizer connector. I don't have much experience with modding so I don't know how the dimensions of a 510 connector would compare to those of a 901 connector. Considering the dimensions of the box, would it be easy to substitute the 901 connector for a 510 connector?

Thanks :)

absolutely. I would use the connector you commonly use. I remember I made the puck for my first mod. I started on Kr808d1 auto batts. So the jack from Radio Shack that "The Puck" calls for worked for me(luckily). As far as I know a local 510 connection hasn't been found yet. Have to order online, unless you have a local ecig store. If you do use the radio shack jack you will need to get adapters (online) to make the 510 connection.

901/808D are female connections on the atty side, and the 510 are male on the atty side as you know.

Welcome to MadVapes LLC this is a good place for modding basics, and everything else. Incase you didn't know.

Good luck on your mod.

P.S. I should probably mention. I find the actual 510 connections easier to get soldered and placed than the jack from rat shack. :2c:
