I've been having a few issues with my DCC and other 510 cartos with my dual coil tanks. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use Kanger 510 Cartomizer - 5 Pack these XL Kanger 510 Cartomizers with a tank. Since the hole that feeds cartos is at the bottom, I think these would stay wetter making my cartos last longer.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking (sorry I got a little lost as to what you are using now and what the difference would be). I use horizontal coil cartos in my syringe tank and they work fine. I think as long as the diameter of your carto matches the holes in your tank endcaps and the carto has a hole or slot in the bottom so the juice can get in, they will work fine. Those Kanger cartos don't have a hole in them yet right? So you'd have to punch or dremel one.

Thank you for your response. Right now I use dual cioil cartos and 1.7 Ressorectors in my Dual Coil tanks. I've noticed they only keep the bottom part of the filler wet, so I occasionally get a dry burn that ruins the carto, making it takes nasty. I think using a horizontal coil will work better b/c the coil sits at the bottom of the carto.

Oh okay, I see what you are saying. Yes, the horizontal coils work very well in a tank. When I fill my tank, often the top of the filler in the carto doesn't even get wet, and it doesn't matter since the coils are at the bottom. In fact, when the top of the filler gets wet is when I usually start to have leaking issues. Not sure why... Anyway, give them a try. I bet they will work fine.

I was actually thinking of trying horizontal coils on a bottom feeder for the same reason.

Thank you for reminding me to update everyone. I have been using them for a while now. I really enjoy it. The wicking seems much better and no leaking or any other issues. I would say it's a great combo especially if you like warmer vapor.
Bump for an update...

I think I'm going through the same amount of juice. I never got a nasty taste at all, at least from the few I've used so far. I'm definitely get more mileage out of them though.
Ok, great. I may have to try these out. I was reading up on these and finding that they had a nasty plastic taste out of the box. It seems a quick rinsing of the filler takes care of that. Did you run into that at all? Also, how quickly is it going through the juice compared to a dual coil?

I sure will. I just watched pbusardo's review of boge vs. kanger on youtube. It was pretty informative and helpful. He mentioned the weird taste of them when filling from the top but noticed that the taste wasn't there when he condom filled. Must be because the coil is stuffed at the bottom, you have to make sure it's completely saturated by juice.

These boges are fantastic when they work. The flavor and vapor just blows the smoktechs out of the water. I don't know if it's the single vs. dual coil or the difference in the design but these boge single coils just taste amazing and give tons of vapor. I've had a couple of the boges burn out on me already, giving a pretty nasty burned taste. I hope the kangers taste as good and last longer.

What are your impressions with them after having used them for a little while?

Ok, so I got the kangers in yesterday and tried them out. Absolutely terrible. That burned plastic taste overpowers the juice, I can't use them They are long enough to fit the DCT's, but the two I tried were just horrible. I did put them in tanks and the only time I was able to get rid of that taste was when I had the carto on the verge of being flooded. The bad thing about this is that if I pulled just a touch too much juice into the carto, it would leak out of the battery connector, all down the side of my mod. I'll be sticking with boges from now on. Fortunately, healthcabin has mentioned that boge is starting production on a XXL carto that is the same length as the smoketech DCT cartos.

Ok, so I emailed myvaporstore.com (I bought the kangers from them) to let them know that I was getting a burned plastic taste. They asked me my battery type and the voltage I was vaping. I let them know that I was using an AW IC battery at 5 volts. This was the response I received:

myvaporstore.com said:
That would explain the dry/burnt taste. Our cartomizers and atomizers are mostly standard resistance and meant for use with the 3.6v-4.2v devices sold on our website.

So, I guess that means you can't use these things with VV devices. Bummer, wish I'd known that before I ordered ten of them. If anyone is interested in trying these out, let me know, I have 8 of them to get rid of now :(

I will say that I am pleased that myvaporstore had such a quick response to my emails.
