Hi,
I discovered how much better the tea bag linings hug the atomizer for better wicking. Just one of those chapters I wish were in "vaping for Dummies" that somebody should write. These mod forums seemed just too complicated for a browsing newbie :)

I like things really simple. I don't much care if all the juice vapes. I read about the better tea bag mods. Don't like the idea of complicated cuts.
With simple rolling I can prep a bunch of carts in my lap while watching TV.

The problem I'm experiencing with tea bags is that I think the on-rush of juice is giving me PG headaches.

I'm thinking I'll just hang on until allergy/sinus season is over and see what happens. But I would like to FINALLY get some other peoples' experience with tea bag headaches and what I can do to prevent them. Are there more complicated cuts that might prevent them?

Thanks,
:) Dave

I've found that the improved delivery system of the Pyramid-shaped tea bags has necessitated me to go from 24mg to 18mg strength. I didn't get headaches, but definitely noted the increased nicotene hit. You need to make a similar reduction in your nico strength, IMO.

Hmm, I didn't actually notice a difference in the hit since I have been using the pyramid method. Different strokes for different folks!

Were they stress like headaches from around your temples? If so, I seem to get these after getting the liquid in my mouth.

I don't know. Seems like most of my conclusions have been wrong. It has been allergy season. Could have been just sinus headaches.

I switch off between my 510 and my 901.

I like the tea bags for my 901, using the 4 vertical cut method talked about in the cart mod. The shredded tea bag lining seems to keep more juice soaked up so less gets in my mouth, dripping is easy, and the wicking is more consistent than with the polyfill. I hope I've finally made a correct observation :)

I like the polyfill with spring mod for my 510. I think my 510 atty's are getting so hot that the tea bags quickly disintegrate. The spring mod makes wicking more consistent, dripping is easy, and of course the polyfill is good at soaking up the juice.

The headaches have gone away, though I tried so many things to get rid of them, plus allergy season is ending, that I don't have any idea what cured them :)

I've been trying new things for three months and I am weary of it all. I'm even sticking to a single juice. After all, I didn't switch cigarette brands on the hour :)

My journey has been fun and so will yours.

I've had the same problem with bags in in my 510. Atty gets hot, get plastic taste. So I drip the atty, add to the polyfill. Suboptimal perhaps but tastes great.

I was never one to heed warnings either :) I assume the man batt for the 510 would not complain.

I haven't tried dripping the atty except for priming after cleaning. I suppose I eventually will. But you if you haven't tried that spring mod, I think it might be worth your time.

I'll share I secret. I don't know what the h-ll the term "dripping" means. Does "dripping" mean fully filling the cart from a dropper bottle, or does it mean dripping juice on the atty, or either one?

Thanks Dave. Dripping to me means I drip some fluid into the Cart from the bottle or dropper. Then I drip a drop or two on the atty. MOst say don't do this but so far I have been successful, without killing the atty. I also clean with 90%IPA, followed by blow dry with clean dry air from a can and let the cleaned atty sit for a day before using again. Works for me though some have had trouble with direct dripping to the atty, or so it is written in some threads.

Well with the spring mod, there is a hole in the center of the filler (the hole in the spring). I insure I can see liquid at the top of the hole. I assume the liquid is going directly on the bridge, so I suppose I'm doing what you are doing anyway. For whatever reason, wicking starts almost immediately.
