I used the .5 ohm for 3 days when I first got this thing, the 1.2 all this week, put the .5 in just now and holy throat burn batman! Taste wasn't great either, the thing looks pretty black. So I put the 1.2 back in and I'm back in vape heaven. So apparently the .5 is cooked. Dinger I recommend the blueberry cheesecake from Cravin Vapes it's delicious. I've turned another person with a Subtank on to it this week too.
