USP vs Food Grade

Was looking on a site to buy PG came across this

USP grade is higher purity than food grade

Is this the case?

In a word, yes. But generally speaking, "food grade" isn't dirtier, just wetter.

Farm & ranch store / tractor supply USP PG $20 ish per gallon.

USP is USP.
IMO no reason to order it & pay for shipping.
