Today I checked my tracking, and I live in Wisconsin. A package being shipped from Chicago to Milwaukee. Where is it now, you ask? Tampa. Yes, that's right. Tampa, Florida. LOL!

As others have noted, I've seen all kinds of weird tracking that has nothing to do with where the package is. Those guys couldn't find a package with both hands if it were taped to their rumps.

I tossed a hissy fit when I saw a package recently in Nome, Alaska that was coming from the bay area about 120mi south of me. They went looking for it. They called me just a couple hours later to let me know they did indeed find it in Nome. Which would have been fantastic if it wasn't in my hands at the moment, in California, having been signed for a few minutes before.

Up until an hour ago, my latest shipment from V4L was still showing as not having been picked-up by USPS yet. Of course, it was delivered more than 12hrs ago. . .

So yeah, not the most up-to-date tracking. ;)

I'm thinking maybe they double up on tracking numbers; I experienced this problem with Fed Ex at one point. I ordered a fancy cellphone, and per usual fashion, was excited to pull up the tracking number and hit refresh every 5 minutes to see what progress it'd made.

The tracking told me it had been sent out a week prior to my order and was delivered to San Francisco (I was living in South Carolina at the time). I was pretty sure that, no, that was not my cellphone.
The tracking didn't even update until Fed Ex was at my door.
