V4L shipping

I want to start of saying this isn't a complaint but more of an observation.
I live in NW Wisconsin and V4L is in IL. Every order takes 3-4 days to get to me but when I order from company which is in FL it gets here every time in 2 days (well except once). Other companies that use Priority Mail^® arrive usually in 2 days or at latest 3. I notice that when V4L sends it mail that it shipped it actually doesn't hit the USPS location until next day. Assuming V4L is sending out ship notice right when the label is printed (most companies do) and order is sitting out on the dock for a day. Either that or USPS is really slow out there. Of course it's still within the USPS 2-3 day shipping for this type of mail. No biggie either way, V4L has excellent service and prices. Again not a complaint about V4L shipping or service.

It's a USPS issue, not a V4L one. (Lousy local offices, weird routing practices, etc.)

Every shipper is at the mercy of the USPS. I noted in a post just a few weeks ago that USPS package tracking showed my package was still enroute on day 4, even though I actually received it on day 3. USPS picks up from the V4L location multiple times a day, the lag when there is one occurs between the local facility and the main processing facility. Living in NW Wisconsin I would think you can also relate to occasional severe weather conditions as well. The other company maybe very close to the main processing center, as well it's Florida so when it comes to weather what's the worst that can happen...it's too sunny?



Sunday I ordered 2 items out of California, both shipped Monday morning. The item from Amazon arrived yesterday, the other item arrived today. Why? I have no idea....

I believe most companies have pick up once or twice a day and if your shipment is at the end of the day as mine is here at my local po ( doesnt leave my po until 430 .....) of course you will add a day .Theres always variances in usps too ,ive had things go to maine faster then northern cal and im IN nor cal .who knows ?

I removed the competitor, and ya USPS tracking is a joke. I've lost count how many times a USPS packaged arrive but still showed it was in another state.
Never thought it was V4L, but USPS being slow in their area.

I'm local and I never know when I'm going to get my package. Trust me, it's USPS. I have ordered late on Friday and received my package on Monday......how did they do that? I dunno. Conversely, I've had orders ship to one local facility, and then to Elk Grove Village facility (the black hole) and then to me, taking 3 business days. Why? I dunno. With the USPS I think it is only going to get worse.
