USPS tracking?

I'm hungry! but I have to wait around on this mailman in case I have to sign for this package if it even comes today. I bought some juice from MadVapes and the USPS tracker had the same number that was on the package I believe and showed me all the stops it made on the way to my house, but I ordered my PV from somewhere else before my juice and still waiting on it. Although I am very anxious for the shipment it's only been since Tuesday and I understand they call it snail mail for a reason (if only Nightcrawler worked for the postal service...) but the tracker they use is nothing like the one on my juice order. They only gave me a four digit reference number and the tracker hasn't showed me anything but the word "shipped". If you ask me, there's not really much use for a tracker if the only stop you know it's making is when you receive the package. Is this normal for some sites?

The tracking number given isn't truly made to track in real-time, it is there for the sender to know for a fact that it was shipped/delivered to the right address and didn't go off course. It's a reassurance number IMHO, it also takes between 12-24 hours for you to start seeing progress since once it leaves the PO...they scan it and that's when the magic happens.

I only worry about the Expected Delivery Date, delays, going off course aka AWOL and damaged packages/products. Other then that I am confident that USPS will deliver my goods in a timely fashion in one piece.

At least you live in the U.S. I have been waiting so long for my package from USPS that I will probably die of old age before it ever arrives. Seriously, it's been more than 5 weeks.!

I'm normally a very patient person, but when I've ordered vaping gear I start checking the USPS site the minute I get my tracking number. Speaking of tracking orders....my Liquinators are OUT FOR DELIVERY!!! Now if only I could get the mailperson to hurry up! I might have to go stalking now...

I also check the tracking process as soon as I receive it to check the expected delivery date.

I was under the impression that you just had to wait that long, not that you had concluded the item wasn't coming.

I ordered some replacement batteries from a vendor in San Diego. They shipped it on Monday the 1st and here it is Friday the 5th already and the package is still in a post office in San Diego.

What is the Post Office doing there? Are they trying to route your package through every single PO in San Diego? Stupid PO...

I feel your pain I cringe every time I have to buy from another country. Other then the ninja notes on my door though USPS seems to go pretty fast for me.

I'm glad you got your package, John. Do NOT depend upon or trust USPS tracking. I've had packages arrive from the west coast to here in Virginia while the tracking still had it in California. The postal service does an amazing job considering they lost 8 BILLION DOLLARS last year. The tracking SUCKS but amazingly the mail still moves on. UPS tracking is much better but of course it usually costs more if it's available.

Note: I ordered two 14550 batteries from a web site. I didn't notice that they shipped from China. Airmail. 12 days later the batteries arrived. Perfectly good. How the heck can someone ship 2 14550 batteries from China to Virginia including the cost of the batteries for $4.40?
