My apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong place. We want to make sure the word gets out on this one and the gathering will technically be in public at a local pub...

Come help us celebrate the defeat of Utah HB170 which would have banned both online sales, flavored liquids and all smokeless nicotine alternatives. To celebrate the defeat, we found a pub that will allow us to vape and celebrate!
:toast::vapor:

Bring any juices you don't want and 'swap your sauce'. Also bring any equipment you want to trade or sell including any empty bottles you have. Please don't throw away your empties, recycle them by bringing to the event for those that DIY. We are going to try and have ElectroNicStix from Ogden there to bring some of his juices and equipment. We are also organizing door prizes for anyone attending thanks to some awesome vendors on ECF!

Due to Utah state law, you must be 19 to attend.

RSVP by joining our FB Group and clicking over to the Events: Utah Electronic Vapers

Hey Utah Vapers,

We are all getting super excited about the upcoming VapeFest at Bout Time Pub and Grill this Sunday. This year's legislative session officially ends at midnight tonight so I think it's safe to say we beat down HB170 and the evil anti's! Don't forget THE EVENT STARTS AT 11am on Sunday not the time set on the FB event (FB can't set time correctly!).

We have permission from Bout Time to vape inside so bring your PV and your favorite party vape! Sunday is also the start of Daylight Savings so don't forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed on Saturday night so you're not late for the vape! For anyone who is an early riser, we will also be meeting at Sunset Coffee around 9am. Our good friend Sandra has told us the awesome owners of Sunset Coffee are supporters of vaping so we'll chug our Double Cafe Mocha Machiato espresso's then work our way to Bout Time at 10:30. For anyone that can make it, Sunset Coffee is located at 7978 South 1300 East in Sandy.

To help us celebrate this kick-... defeat, Aaron and Jacinda walked the streets in Sugarhouse and solicited all our vendors for some goodies. You really don't want to know what they had to do to get this stuff but suffice it to say it wasn't pretty! Seriously though we should be very proud of beating this legislation and 3 of Utah's Own vendors including several of the awesome vendors from ECF are helping us celebrate.

All in all, we have over $450 in confirmed donations from our vendors and a few donations from your the mods as a way of thanking all our Utah Vapers for the hard work in fighting the 2011 legislative session. If this doesn't excite you, I'm not sure what can! I'm not going to give away what the prizes are (trust me, they're AWESOME!) but here are the local vendors who will be at the event to help us celebrate:
Jason with ElectronicStix in Ogden
Brad and/or crew from Gourmet Vapor in Brigham City
Jon & Angie from Ace of Vapes

We also have some of the super awesome vendors from ECF joining us in spirit:
Ty from Liberty Flights
Vicki from Cignot
Kimberly from One Stop DIY Shop

Also don't forget to bring any unloved juices, unwanted equipment, DIY supplies, empty bottles, etc for a swap event.

Make sure that you take a few moments during the event to thank all the vendors who helped make the event a success and especially the management and staff of Bout Time and Sunset Coffee for their generosity by providing the venue for the Utah Vapers. Finally thanks to ECF (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/) for giving us an exciting outlet to learn and communicate about vaping and of course CASAA (CASAA | The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) for their hard work in fighting for the rights of all vapers!

As a reminder, due to Utah state law you must be 19 to participate in the VapeFest and the drawings but you are welcome to bring your family to support the Utah vaping family. We look forward to meeting each of you at the event this weekend!

Aaron & Jacinda

Here's some video from the first annual Utah VapeFest: Video by electronicstix: Live Recording - 03/13/2011 18:34

I want to give a HUGE shout out to the following vendors who helped make this event possible:
Liberty Flights
Cignot
OneStopDIY Shop
ElectronicStix
Gourmet Vapor
Ace of Vapes

The last 3 mentioned above are local Utah vendors who showed up and donated hardware and juice for the event. There was not one single person who walked out empty handed thanks to all these awesome vendors. Thank you to each of you for your kindness and support of the vaping community!
