I should have never gone there today.....

Truth be told, I hate 510 connectors, GGTS is my preference but this will work.
I can about wear out a brass 510 on a mod in about a week as I take the atty on and off probably 25 time a day to pocket the stuff.

Does anyone know if there is adjustable juice flow through the drip tip like in the mister silica? Is it worth selling a KF 3.1 to pik one up? Waiting on more reviews and info to come out before I commit to a lowly 21mm -_-

The juice control on the MISTer is much easier to use then the Aqua. The air control of the Kayfun 3.1 is much easier to use then the Aqua. Having both juice and air flow control in one device, that's what makes the Aqua worth trying/having.

I've used the Aqua for a few days now and I am enjoying it. Dual coils with dual air channels make for much denser clouds then either the kafun (3.1 or Lite) or the MISTer. I would be hard pressed at this point to pick a favorite since they all fill different roles.

1. MISTer Silica Hybrid: It's a hybrid so it looks the cleanest. Very easy to set up. Juice control is positive and easy to see how open you have it set with the full open/full close lines on the tip. Issue with flooding when refilling that can be overcome with careful filling. Only mod I currently run silica on due to it's solid tank and leaking issues.

2. Kayfun 3.1: Very easy to use airflow control but even at wide open would never be considered "airy". Tons of flavor due to the placement of the air channel under the wick deck. Easy to coil up, quick to clean. If you get the right tip or bottle, the juice fill port is a god-send, with the wrong tip or bad alignment it's a PITA. Expensive and very tall, looks "off" on some mods.

3. Kayfun Lite: Easy to set up, lots of places are carrying this now so parts are easier to come by. Both the Lite and the 3.1 give some of the best flavor you'l get out of a rebuildable. Will not give you large clouds and is 100 percent the wrong device to chase sub ohms due to heat issues with insulators melting.

4. Aqua: You get air flow and juice flow control. This is excellent if you're someone who likes to try different juices with different vg/pg ratio's. If you like to try different materials (cotton, silica, ekowool), these controls give you the ability to fine tune to your build. It's a well made mod, the machining is very clean and the look is beautiful to me.

A word of warning, my aqua was one of the dirtiest devices I've ever bought. Machine oil, fine metal particles, and grease on almost every part. I was very careful with my cleaning and did get it all off, but it took longer then any other.

It is built to handle sub ohm, so you can chase the clouds and it does give you some good clouds out of a device of this type. Flavor is on par with the Kayfun but slightly muted (IMHO).

All in all I would say I like the Aqua and it will be part of my normal rotation. It's not the end all be all that some reviewers have seemed to suggest, but it is a great little device. If you have the means I would suggest picking one up.

To clarify, I do own and use all 4 devices so i'm speaking from personal experience and opinion.

About cleaning the Aqua prior to use. I found mine pretty clean as far as "dirt" but there is for sure some kind of slimy coating on all the innards, I didn't recognize the smell but it is not your typical machine oil smell. I scrubbed mine real good with a tooth brush, hot water and dish liquid. Still ended up dumping the first tank and scrubbing it again. But all is well now.

After about 4 hours with the Aqua, I'm pretty impressed. The throat hit is very pronounced, as it's tough to get the coils as close to the air hole as the KFL. The evap chamber is tiny. I built a quick .9 ohm dual coil with 30g & cotton, as I wanted to run a 350. Flavor was pretty intense, throat hit was intense, vapor production was on par with a proper sub ohm dual coil in a dripper. Juice capacity is lacking, especially for the size of the atty. It's a keeper so far, but I want to see what it can do with a lower resistance coil...

Thumbs up for now!

Aqua, dual coil 30g @ .9 ohms. Needed to keep the resistance up for a 350 battery, but it still works damn good!

I thought my first build, 28 gauge nichrome @ 0.5 ohms was a bit much for me. That is how I build my Trident clones but the Aqua's body got hot pretty fast so I rebuilt it shooting for 0.8 but got 1.0 using 30 gauge Kanthal. I shall try again on the 2nd one that's arriving on Wednesday with 28 gauge Kanthal (I have no 29 gauge Nichrome but that would be what I want to use if I had some).
A nice atty for sure, probably a better buy than an Ithaka or Kayfun 3.1 ES but for the price the KFL is a sure bet too, IMO.
The Aqua is not too heavy and a bit smaller form, I really like it.

And yes the tank is a little on the small side for such a thirsty little bugger.

Day, what is it now, 6 with the Aqua, and I'm loving it even more. Here are some of my thoughts on it.
The machining is, without question, the nicest of everything else I own, or have even tried, for that matter. Whereas, everything was quite stiff for the first couple of days I had it, it has broken in nicely, making the juice control and top cap much easier to turn. Still, everything has remained smooth and solid.
Refilling is still rather tricky. At the very least, the first pulls are a bit spitty. This technique seems to be working pretty well, though:
After closing everything up, I remove the top cap and fill.
Reattach the cap, then flip it upside down and wait a few seconds.
Open the air valve to break the vacuum, then close it again.
Turn right side up and let it sit for a few.
Open the air control valve, but not the juice control.
I'll open up the juice control a quarter turn after a few draws (I'm using Cran Chi at the moment, which is rather thick).
This seems to minimize the flooding quit well, and I'm not getting any leaking.
The tank capacity is a bit on the small side. I can't help but wrap that in with the whole "wishing this were a 22mm mod" thing. But, in truth, I compare the Aqua less to a Genesis and more to a dripper, which makes it a massive improvement when it comes to juice capacity. Of course, I come from a place of never having owned a Kayfun. Russian, or Ithaka, but I really appreciate its relatively small size, and am fine with the trade off.
Building this thing is a breeze. Send the leads between the posts and bend outward. Not as stable as slotting it through holes, but much easier for these aging eyes. I also like not having to fiddle with the screw caps like the ones on my drippers. I really like the amount of room and having the air hole right there. So long as I don't cover it up, I feel inspired to be creative with the coils and cotton wraps.
This thing is a real winner in my book.
