Uwell Rafale review

Being a very loyal Crown user I was very excited to give this tank a try. Got it home and loaded it up and I got this horrible chemical taste. It wasn't the juice because I tried two different ones. After cleaning it out I soon noticed that when taking off the bottom part that fits the atomizer it also had this horrible chemical smell all in the tank itself. I soaked it overnight in water and that did not help. I went back to the Vape shop I bought it at, and smelled their display Rafale tank, and it also had the same chemical smell. The 2 people working their confirmed the smell just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I emailed Uwell about this on Sunday and still have not heard anything back. Very very disappointed as you would seem. This thing is pretty much a 36$ brick. It still has the horrible chemical smell and every juice I put in it gets ruined! So I'm back using my Crown. And Uwell will now lose my business because when the new Kamikaze Tank comes out I'm gonna go for it. Shame on you Uwell!!


Anyone else have a similar experience??

Also let me tell you that the top fill on this tank is a nightmare! You have to turn the tip so these 2 microscopic holes slightly open. Your are then supposed to use the dropper to fill it. Nightmare is not the word. Liquid goes all over and takes forever to fill. I used the bottom fill feature which is better but still not a cake walk.

I was stupid buying this, even without the horrible taste and smell Uwell really dropped the ball with this one. I was just blinded by how much I love the crown I thought this has to be awesome also. Never again will I buy off name only. My mistake.

Usually popping in the UC with warm water and dishsoap gets rid of any machine oil for me - worth a try perhaps?

I've the same problem with 2 Rafale tanks... and had it with an Vaporesso tank as well

Mine tasted awesome and hits like a frieght train right from the start. It is a ejiuce eater because of the massive hits you get AND...

Sometimes it leaks like a civ! I checked making sure tank is tight, yes - coil is tight - YES WTF? I think I figured it out -

It seems to leak thru the bottom of the coil - the gold bottom part of the coil can be pulled off easily - so make sure its pushed in tight on the coil and that the coil is screwed in tight! I belevie this is where its leaking from. I burned thru a bottle of Cuttwod boss reserve before catching this.

I was not impressed with my rafale either. I don't own a crown, I just decided to buy one after seeing a few reviews for it.

I also get a very odd taste from my tank. Doesn't matter if I'm using the stock coils or the wonky "vrba" section. And I don't understand people when they talk about "the insane clouds" it puts out. I get just as much vapor from my zephyrus v2 at 40 watts as I do the rafale at 80 watts. And the feel of the hit from my zephyrus is so much more satisfying. It makes me feel like the odd person, because I see people raving about it. Oh well. I'll keep it in my drawer in case someone wants to pay me 5 bucks for it someday lol.

Liking my kamikaze. I also have the crown. I switch back n fourth between them. Flavor not quite like the crown but still awesome. Def. bigger clouds though. Sweet looking tank!

I looked at the Rafael- for about a second. I did not like it's top fill compared to the Crown, which is way easier/better. I also don't like the non-replaceable drip tip.
I'm sticking with my Crown.

Yeah, this one seems to have died a quick death.
Odd choices on the VRBA, top fill, drip tip.
I almost bought two of these when they were first available.
So happy I went with the Bachelor instead.

As far as nasty taste? You're doing something wrong... 3 coils later and never a nasty taste! Are you priming the coil properly? I always drip some juice in the side openings and around the top edge before using ANY coil in ANY tank!!! Then fill the tank and let it sit a min...Try these before bashing something you do not understand!!!!

This tank holds more then the crown...top fill works great, just be patient and close it completely when done.

It hits like a freaggin freight train! And tastes awesome!

As far as nasty taste? You're doing something wrong... 3 coils later and never a nasty taste! Are you priming the coil properly? I always drip some juice in the side openings and around the top edge before using ANY coil in ANY tank!!! Then fill the tank and let it sit a min...Try these before bashing something you do not understand!!!!

Doing nothing wrong. The tank also has a chemical smell. If you read the reviews most are saying flavor sucks even if they don't have the smell taste mine does.
