V2 Charger with Halo Batts?

Just wondering if anyone knows if a V2 charger will work with the Halo G6 batteries?

Thinking about switching from V2 to Halo, but would rather not buy a new charger.

My SO really prefers cigalikes' smaller form factor as she has arthritis pretty bad & they are easier to hold.

Thank you in advance -- Great forum!

As long as they have the KR808D-1 threading like v2 it should work.

According to this they are.

Thanks Bob!
Looks to me like it is talking about the cartos & batts being interchangeable between the vendors, not specifically the chargers.
Does that mean the chargers are, probably, but I'm not positive based on that.

Looking at the V2 charger, there are the two parts:
Wall plug to USB female (typical input value & output 5V :: 1A)
USB male to the KR808 female (input DC5V & output 4.2V :: 200MA)

Anyone care to check their Halo G6 charger to see if the values are similar?
I'd really appreciate it!

Halo G6 output current is only 150 mAh.

I would be worried about damaging G6 batteries with the V2 charger.

Hey quicksdraw, I just wanted to chime in on this so you fully understand the differences between the V2 and G6 batteries and chargers.

V2 sells what is known as Generation 1 KR808D-1 batteries and chargers. These are unregulated voltage, so they run 4.2V on a full charge and, as the charge is used, they dwindle down to 3.4-3.6V.

The Halo G6 is a Generation 2 setup, and is regulated at 3.6V throughout the charge.

You CAN use a Gen. 1 charger(V2) with a Gen. 2 battery(G6).

You CANNOT use a Gen. 2 charger with a Gen. 1 battery.

The way you are wanting to go is fine, but just know that you can't go the other way. If you do, you risk damaging the battery and/or charger, and you could experience catastrophic failure.

End of P.S.A. :D

The charger was bought maybe a month or 6 weeks ago from V2.

I don't know if the V2 charger I have is Gen 1 or Gen 2 (I posted the output specs above).
I had always assumed (I know - usually a bad thing) that as long as the Voltage matched & the charger Amps out was equal or greater that it would work alright because the device (in this case the batt) would only draw as much current as rated for (maybe it's different for batts than other devices).

I need an EE...

Thanks for all the help & sorry for being a dufus.
