I just tried v2 Sahara and it's not too bad, but I prefer taste of the the Red a little better. I'm going to try different brands, but what to try next? Thee's certainly a lot out there to choose from!

I wish they made V2 Sahara in other pg/vg ratios. Its 100% PG ): and I can't handle that all the time but I do like the taste of it. V2 is actually the first company I used when trying vaping and while some of the flavors are pretty good, the customer service is just average and they are kinda pricey. What kind of flavors do you like? Maybe I could suggest a few.
I'm new and haven't tried much yet. I like tobacco flavored currently. I smoked both cigarette and pipe for 40+ years and am in the 1st week of vaping. Red was the first and I liked that, but I want to try different juices. I ordered some Cherry carts and it was sickeningly sweet. I also ordered some Sahara juice, and just doesn't taste right. Maybe it's because of the 100% PG as you said, but I'm not sure. Is there something I can mix in to improve the flavor? I know wide open question.
Yes, v2 is pricey. I started vaping before finding this forum.

If you like tobacco then I might suggest the Ahlusion tobacco line. They are a pretty average-priced vendor but their tobaccos are naturally extracted. While the only tobacco flavor I have tried from them is Smooth Criminal (and just like the name, it is smooth and tasty and kinda has this pipe tobacco taste on the exhale), many others really enjoy the other tobacco blends from them. Also, the customer service is phenomenal. If you email them with your PV and flavor preferrences they will respond promptly with a list of possible flavors for you to try. There is a thread here in the general e-liquid section about them. Its a LOT to read but it may be helpful. If you care to check out their site its ahlusion.us
A lot of people also like Nite Lite Vapor's tobacco blends. So that would be another place to try as they are pretty reasonably priced but it is hard to order since they sell out so fast.

I like dragons tear from ecblend and ecto plasma from juicy vapor, but I'm not sure what you like. As far as tobacco flavors go, I never really liked the taste of cigs so finding a juice that tasted like tobacco was never really on my list of things to do, although I do like bounty hunter from NLV and ry4 and bobas.

Hummm I have been vaping V2 Sahara all day and my throat hurts. could it be because of the 100% pg mix? I thought I was coming down with a cold or something.
Yes, it could be too high a PG ratio, and, if you're new to vaping, the onset of dehydration. Vapers need to drink water, water and more water!
