v2 shorty extension

Will this help with certain carto's where the pin is recessed to far in? I have a few that I have to pull the pin lower to work on my E-Power. Thought this may be easier to have instead of messing with the pins all the time.

It might help. It's worked with most of mine. I also used two shorty's to get a Ego Mega Dual Coil Carto to work on my E power. There's no limit to what these little guys can do!

I put a shorty entension on my roughstack to protect the threads. Unfortunatley my dual coil cartos don't work in the extension. so it is just sitting in a box.

The Dual Coil Cartos shouldn't have a problem working with the V2 Shorty's. Try pulling the center post of the carto out a little bit with a paperclip or a dental tool. I've gotten just about every kind of DC Carto to work on my Maxi RS & Midi RS. Sometimes they don't make a decent connection on the center post (positive) and you just have to tweak it out a tiny bit. As for the Ego Mega DC Carto.....yes I had to use 2 shorty's. One didn't even come close. The funny thing is, it looks almost perfect. There's just a small gap above the threads on the E Power. I also used 2 Shorty's to put one on my Maxi RoughStack. I've been running it at 6 volts and it's vaping like a champ....it looks pretty cool too.

V2 shorty extension can be used on DC and other attys and cartos.
Yes it can solve problem of recessed carto center post because V2 extension center post is only 0.1" and easily fits inside carto.

The shoulder of the extension makes purchase on DC so it is possible that shoulder will need filing if carto center pin is recessed to far.

The male end shoulder of V2 shorty extension does not make purchase on RS so it can't be screwed in RS tight.

Thanks Emus, I had some G4's (arent all that great, but easy to swap flavors) where the pin had to be pulled on, was hoping the v2 would solve that issue. I think I'll pick up 2 so I can try that mega ego DC.

I'm confident V2 will work.
Likely worst case would require filing the V2 female shoulder a little.
The bottom center post of my V2 protrudes about 0.025" which is better than some cartos w/ about 0 protrusion.

I don't know how long it's been there but MV now has a sealed version of the V2 Shorty. I'm definitely adding a couple of them to my next order. You can never have too many!

I got some V2's (sent me the unsealed ones by mistake, they fixed it tho and sent sealed ones) I only need 1 for the E-power to work with the Ego dual coils

I actually like the unsealed ones better for my E-power, contacts on the sealed ones won't connect to recessed atty pins. would have to file them down. I ordered the sealed for some 510 batts that had a hole in them even though they are manual's.
