Folks have used a variety of nondestructive, quick fix 'fillers' to take up some of the thread lash, from thin o-rings and teflon pipe tape... to dental floss.
Some have gone a bit further - drilled and tapped the ring and fit small set screws, to lock the ring down.

Pretty much where ever your capabilities, enthusiasm and level of OCD take you. ;-)

Ok, thanks! I thought maybe I got a bad one or dislodged something.
I'd say that of the hundreds of owners who've posted on ECF, discussing their Foggers, maybe 25-30% comment on loose AFC rings... so you're not alone. Some who use their AFC wide open, could just as easily take the ring off.

My neighbor's black Fogger had a loose ring, and because he runs it WFO, I removed the ring, squeezed it in a vice to make the ring a little eccentric (so that it binds slightly on the threads), and screwed it back on. Tight fit - doesn't move - covers the threads... done. ;-)

Anyone else's air flow ring too loose on this atty? Every time I pick it up or put it down I have to fiddle with the ring because it moves. Am I missing something? or is this how it's supposed to be.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mines loose also.

If you squeeze that ring and deform it a little bit from being round into a little oval - ish shape, it will sit more snug.

Sorry, I should have read the post before me.
