Oh, I hope V4L doesn't go that route. Nothing personal at all toward any of our good members, but I'll hit the road if this place becomes another Green Smoke. It took me a while last year to realize that many of those nice GS reviews were coming from their "affiliates"--that really ...... me off and sent me packing quickly. One of the most telling signs of V4L was that all the positive feedback I found came from people who had nothing personal to gain. No points or other freebies. That spoke volumes to me.

I hate the affiliate idea, but maybe that's just me. End of rant. :-x

Hey, sorry guys if I overheated there a bit. I think the topic hits a nerve because of how scammed I felt after ordering the GS kit. I do have to credit to the folks there for giving me a refund, no questions asked, but I'd never want to see our beloved V4L family become anything similar. I believe you, Steve. V4L absolutely exudes integrity.

I didn't feel like you overheated, you just made a valid point.

I love being a source of honest referrals for smokers I care about, and would probably start to feel weird if those referrals were giving me some sort of monetary compensation. One could wonder if I really believe in the company I'm referring them to, or if I just want the dough... Now, store credit for referrals would be another issue entirely! Wanting store credit, to use toward that company's merchandise, is further proof that you really do like that company, and use them yourself! But, I guess that's more of a "referral program", not an "affiliate program" - like the points QSSV mentioned.

I wholeheartedly agree with your statements, as receiving information from affiliates is like wandering into a car dealership.

I also agree with the idea to trade affiliate referrals for credits to go toward V4L purchases. Perhaps this will keep those money-hungry folks away. My good buddy is in affiliate sales and when I pulled out my VaporKing during a conversation his eyes lit up, "Dude those things are making millions online, you should make a website and sell [insert crappy brand here]!"

I told him I'd never refer anyone to an ecig other than V4L, and then when I saw the 'affiliate' link on the website pop up I knew I could confidently refer people as I totally use and believe in the product I'm referring!

Actually, I wasn't thinking about the referral program or a affiliate program. What I would like to see is, me getting points for the purchases that I purchase. Kinda like subway did with there punch card system, where you purchase 10 subs and get the 11th free.

That would be nice, except they kinda already do that with all the freebies. I mean, basically, you get free stuff with pretty much every purchase already. Now, if they did away with the random freebies and just credited your account with points instead so you could pick your freebies or use it as a discount that would be cool.

Speaking of Green Smoke.... does anyone know what model they're selling now? Its a two piece, but on their site, it looks slightly different from a KR808. Long story short, one of my friends, whom I'd sent my tome of info and website links, showed my wife his brand new e-cig last night.... she told me it said Green Smoke on the box. I'm thinkin... WHAT?!?! They are SO overpriced, and this guy works in the theatre biz, money isn't exactly burning a hole in his pocket. ... I don't get it, but whateva, I tried! Anyway, curious to know more about what he got.

I went through the same thing and couldn't agree more! I figure my person gain is knowing that when I sell a friend or even stranger on V4L, I am saving their life. Way more rewarding than a free pack of cartos.

I like the stack of business cards that come with every order. I've given out quite a few so far. If a smoker is curious about e-cigs, the Internet can be a rather confusing place to start searching blindly. Every little bit helps.

I love the business cards! They save me so much explaining. Which reminds me, I'm out of cards, need to place another order.... like I need an excuse ;-)
