V4L Cartomizer Life

Hi,

I received my V4L kit today and plan on starting to use it tomorrow.

From what I have read on this site, am I correct that each cartomizer's
life is about 1 pack of analogs? I'm just afraid if I start using it, I may
run out of cartomizers before I get my order of juice and blanks.

The cartomizers were designed to be disposable, first and foremost, so keep that in mind.

As for how long a prefilled cartomizer lasts, that depends on your vaping habits. For me, I was a pack and a half a day analog smoker. I can whip through a cartomizer in about 3-4 hours.

However, I refill mine, so essentially, with the same flavored juice, I can usually get a weeks worth of work out of mine, if I am careful. Some days I mess up and vape too heavy, and it only lasts a couple of days. C'est La Vie.

I smoke about 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day so I think I'll wait until I get the juice to refill before I begin using my kit. Do you take your cart apart
to refill or do you drip into the battery end? Sorry for the dumb questions
but I'm new to this and I really want this to be my key to getting off
analogs.

I tried posting on V4L but it said I didn't have permission to post there.

Thats cool, dont worry about it!

What I do, is remove the plastic cap and rubber stopper. That way, you can guage just how empty the cartomizer is.

Then, I use the condom cap method to refill. I never use more than 15 drops to start. If you are new, chances are you will overfill if you use more than that. I fill from the battery end, personally.

After that, I usually just start vaping right away, but some people like to throw the "Taryn Spin" method into it, which I don't....but it's all personal preference.

After a few days, you will be able to really fill them like an expert. Don't get discouraged if things don't work right away...we're here to help.

Depending on the day (and how delicious the flavor is), I will go through 2-3 carts (18mg).

So I have been using mine for 5 days. Is it normal for the battery to last 2-3 hours? Also was told cartridges were the same as 1-2 packs ( Ha, not for me) So are these normal or am i doing something wrong?

My experiences from left to right
Short or mini - about 2 hours
Camel Light
Regular - 3-4 hours
XL - 5+ hours

Obviously, this all depends on how much I am vaping that day

I think there are too many variables to consider when trying to determine carto life. For instance I started on a pre-filled one at about 5:00PM Wednesday afternoon. I took a few hits here and there on it. Now yesterday I hooked that same one up to one of my batteries and tooted on it off and on throughout the whole day and well into the evening. On average I'd say I hit it maybe 5-6 times per hour. I wake up this morning and hit it a few more times, and it is still going pretty strong.

I put that one in my empty bin for now, because I don't want to overdo it and get it to the burnt state. But really it has shocked me how long these things can last. The ones I filled myself don't seem to have quite the same life, but I could probably get by on one for most of the day assuming nothing crazy happens.

My experience with the battery life is similar to Nilius, 2-3 hours for a regular battery, and 5-8 hours for an xl. I usually go through 1-2 cartos a day. the new cartos tend last a little longer than the ones i refill, so they can last a full day. There's a bit of a learning curve to get the best out of your PV, and it takes some of us (me) a little bit of time to switch over completely from cigs. since it can take a little time, and you can start enjoying it right away instead of waiting for the juice and blanks to come in.

Ok, Thanks that helps. Wish I had found this forum before I did that "impulse" buy from the mall! Lesson learned........Mall kiosk NO GOOD!!!!!!! I have ordered some juice in order to try the refill! I have the green puffer, anyone used this brand? I will admit it is soooo nice not having to freeze my .... off to have a smoke! I have smoked 5 analogs in 5 days, not bad compared to a pack a day. Thanks again for the forum it is a life saver!!
