I found this forum shortly after hearing of ecigs for the first time. Did a little reading on here and decided to give this vaping a shot. V4L seemed to be really well liked so I placed my first order.

This is where the problems began.

My first order was placed useing a discount code for 21% off. I was being very tenative about this and ordered a pcc kit with the short batt. Some 24 mg carts. Order placed...recieved email of invoice...realized the discount code didn't give me 21% off but only 10%. Emailed customer service...still listening to the crickets.

Order arrived and I was impressed. Quality, speed of delivery all seemed great. Did think the carts were pretty harsh and did a little more reading to decide that I should have ordered a lower mg. No big deal, on to the next order.

Ordered a extra batt, some more carts and a value short kit. Had a new discount code and worked just fine! So excited when it arrived it was like Christmas. Then I realized the case that had came with the kit would not close. Not at all. It springs back open! So I emailed customer service again...cricket...cricket. No answer again!

Then tonight I may have reached the make it or break it point! Puffing on a 8mg blueberry and loving it! Plus I'm laying on my couch doing this, and since I didn't smoke in my house the vape is getting huge brownie points. So good in fact that I smoked my last annalog this morn and didn't buy anymore!! Then the vapor starts tasting burned, I figured I had just reached the end of that cart, grabbed a fresh one. Should have known something was wrong when I puffed and heard gurggle in stead of sizzle and got a good bit of liquid in my mouth. So I get another cart... cant even get it to fit on the end of the batt!!! I do remember seeing a vid on the V4L site about this so I gotta go check that out. Third Cart, gurggle gurggle AGAIN!

So at this point, I'm out of cigs, My carts won't work, customer service won't return my emails, and I feel like I've been had. Oh and I'm broke from how much I spent on this in the last two weeks!!

God Bless You If you took the time to read this. Please Help before I fall off the wagon!

Wow you have had a rotten time of it! I cannot help you with your problem but wanted to give you a ((( ))) and say try to hang in there. I had an issue with my batteries when I had been vaping for only 2 weeks. I was very upset and got here and had some great help from the forum members.
I don't have a lot of experience but what I would think would be that the atti is dirty. You might want to try blowing it out. Put your mouth on the end that you put the cartridge in. Hold a paper towel on the other end and blow on it until you do not see any liquid coming out. You can also try cleaning your atti. There are several different methods here to do that so I would suggest doing a search here and seeing what you think suits you there.
Hopefully others will chime in real soon and you can get back to vaping! Hang in there!

Not all is lost. You bought low resistance overfilled cartos. First of all, take the white cap off and blow out the extra juice (from the mouth end through the battery hole). Then put the cap back on and vape very gently, preferably on a partially discharged battery. A couple of slow, short puffs and let it rest. Do not let them get hot!

Next step, order some blank cartomizers from V4L: look for the CoolCarts, which are high resistance new premiums. Then get yourself some juice and start filling (and refilling) your own cartos. If you like V4L juices, order from them (I think Steve is running a sale right now). If you don't, try a place that sells samples so you can try a variety of different flavors. One great place to start is Vapor Station. For 25 bucks you can order 10 samples and Eric ships fast. The samples come in 10 mg, but you can ask for different strength. His juices are fabulous.

Then you can visit us here to learn everything you'll ever need to know about burning cartos...

Burning Cartomisers? Dangerous?-E9/VK/bloog/totem/808/DPV9/Smoke51...etc

Good luck.

I think the gurgle sound is pretty normal (from what I've found anyway). I'm pretty sure it just means the carto is a little too full. If you've got a manual battery, hold the button down for 3ish seconds before taking a drag.

If you've got an auto battery, take a few short drags like you would a cigarette before taking your 'main' drag.

Also, try to take a lighter drag as you might be sucking too hard!

Thanks so much for the help guys. I did try blowing the carts out and it seems to have saved two. The one that won't fit...well it may be a loss. I did try switching the attys. I have one manual and won auto. I seem to prefere the auto but it was good to have the manual when the cartos were overfilled and I needed to burn a little off before sucking it in my mouth!

So I have two carts now. Would like to order more, but I'm not ordering anything else from vapor 4 life until I hear a response to my emails to customer service. Any advice where I can get good service from another vendor that carries kr808d carts & good liquid?

To get the carts to fit on the batt you're having problems with you need to take a little bit of steel wool or fine grit sand paper to the threads on the battery. If it's still a little tight work it on, and then off, then on, then off until the fit is good. It's not normal for them to not respond to an e-mail to the customer service address, is that where you sent yours?

I've had some cartos that were sticky on certain batts. If you have more than one batt, try it on all of them.

I've found that the threads on the cartos can be coaxed sometimes. Make sure the threads are aligned and SLOWLY CAREFULLY force it. Sometimes they're just a little tight and if you can get it on once, it'll loosen up. Don't force it if the cart say "No way no how", but don't be afraid to apply a little more pressure than normal, sometimes it does the trick!

Hi BKBJ,

The first thing about this is to just stick with it. Don't give up. It sometimes takes a while to find your stride. I've heard good things about V4L so this could be a one off experience from them. Don't write em off just yet.

The other thing I'll say is that this is the perfect scenario that illustrates the need for reputable local dealers. It's really convenient and timely to be able to walk into a store 7 days a week and get what you need right as well as answers to your questions right then and there. If you have local dealers that are recognized for doing what they say, it could be worth looking in to. You might expect to pay a bit more depending on the brand, but avoiding this frustration is worth it to me. Best of luck to you!

I did V4L for a couple months and occasionally, you get a batch of bad carts or a bad batt.
They are really good about replacing/refunding etc... Wish you were closer... I'd run over and give you my batts and carts!

As the previous poster affirmed, I'd screw and unscrew that batt a few times... some times the right millimeter twist make all the difference.

V4L has their own subforum here. Once you hit 15 posts you can go there and ask for help.

V4L generally seems really good about responding to problems. I'm not sure why you haven't heard back from them.

Over in the V4L forum they (folks from V4L) said that occasionally they get a bad carto with bad threads. The material of the carto is softer than the material of the threads of the battery. They say its OK to forcefully screw on the bad carto since its threads are the ones that will be messed up not the battery. And since the carto already has messed up threads its not really any risk.

Gurgling sound is pretty normal for cartos, may indicate a bit over full. Blow it out as someone else suggested. A weak battery can be the cause of some of your problems. Always move to another battery if a carto seems to be a problem then you'll know its not the battery at fault.

Wow You guys are great. I hope I can get this figured out and be as helpful to someone else as you all have been for me! I tried the carto that won't fit on both of the batteries, its just a no go. But I'm not giving up over one bad cart. The two that were a little two juicy are working fine now so I'm vapping again today!

I also looked on the v4l forum area and emailed someone I think works there. SMILIN. He had posted a thread about customer service and new products, maybe he can get me in touch with the right person.

I wish I could find a place like that. I have looked, but never found anything. Maybe someday it will be as easy as buying a pack of cigs at the store.
