The way I see it is we make the forum what we want it to be. Either you want it to be just a place to chat, a place to learn, a place to get away from life or maybe all of them reasons.
And that is why in the General Forum or Beginners Forum and a few other places off topic is not allowed.
Fun comes in at the Vendors, the Lounge, or the Outside, and even they can restrict threads to "on topic"
