Hi - I've been using a Vamo V3 with no issues for some time. I recently upgraded to a V5 and also bought a new Nitecore Intellicharger i2. I use UltraFire 18650 4000mAh batteries.

So I charge my batteries to full (three leds lit) using the new charger, plug one into the V5, press five times, voltage readout appears - next time I press any button, readout goes blank and nothing works. I put the same battery I've just fully charged back into the charger and it registers only one led - but then quickly goes back to all three.

So I repeat the process and exactly the same thing happens.

Try the same with my old V3 - and the same thing happens also, yet I know my V3 has been fine.

Charging and recharging batteries I've finally found one that gets my V3 working again, but otherwise I'm stumped. Have I bought faulty V5, or charger?

Has anyone else experienced this? I'd love to sort this out.

Thanks

Your battery choice is your problem mrsdextrose. While the Vamo doesn't need the "best" batteries, it does need a "real" battery, and the Ultrafire 4000mAh isn't it.

Panasonic NCR18650B, NCR18650PF or the CGR18650CH batteries are better, and safer, and will work with your Vamo.
Sony, Samsung, Efest, AW and a few others have suitable batteries also. Don't let high mAh rating fool you! Anything over 1800 is good for daily use.
