for the record, my boyfriend is notorious for being a tad reckless with his mods.
I believe we have a V2, and we got it from GotVapes and they have never sold me a faulty product before, so what I am guessing is that this is caused by wear and tear. Idk...

The Problem: unscrew the battery container of the mod, so you see the pin connector that connects to the + side of the battery, you see that ring, on ours it is a red color? It unglued....I see leftover glue and it fell out. I am not good with electronics (I am good with software, but when it comes to hardware I get so confused) so I do not even know what this piece is called, but judging by the feel of the material it is either what protects the electrical charge or something that helps conductivity? I can't tell, so make fun of my ignorance if you wish

How did it happen?: My guess is that wear and tear, and a little bit of rough battery-jamming because he thinks since the damn thing cost $75 it's practically a bulletproof provari. He complained that he changed the battery and now the coils weren't heating up in the Vivi Nova. I was like, huh. Empty out the tank, unscrew the head, dry off the connection, screw it back onto the pole, making sure it is secure. Try it on my provari, works. Put it on his vamo, doesn't work. I figured maybe the battery didn't charge so I changed it out for the smaller, backup battery and when I unscrewed one of the sections, I unscrewed to the pin. Unscrewed the other half so it was small-battery length and then noticed when I looked back at the connector pin that the red ring was... off-kilter. Looked online, saw it really shouldn't be off to the side like that, and tried to gently press it into the glue back towards the center. It falls off easily, after I barely touch it. Another thing that isn't supposed to happen. I don't even know what this stuff is called, this ring thing is not even in my provari so I know it's probably a model-specific design (flaw)....

My Question to you all: Is it fixable? What kind of glue should I use? I'm not even going to ask if they sell a replacement because I imagine that it includes the circuitry and that's the most expensive part of the mod.... and also, is this a common issue with VAMO's?
Thank you for reading my little story :pop:

wait, you paid $75 for a vamo V2? you really must change vendors lol

as for the ring its not really a big deal if you use button top batteries, it is an insulator so a flat top battery cannot touch the pin and the sides of the mod. you can just put a real light layer of any regular glue on it and drop it back in if you wish. it does nothing for the electrical connection so whatever you use is fine.

as for the atty not firing, there is a good chance -if the board isnt broken- the center pin in the 510 connection is pushed down too far and you will have to take tweezers or something like a paperclip and try to pull it up a little.

the vamo came along to prove a vv/vw mod from china could be sold for under 50 bucks and forced the other manufactures to lower their prices as well. back when it appeared a regular zmax was 130 bucks. they are made by many factories and vary widely in quality of construction so im sure many of those rings arent perfect.
I can't tell, so make fun of my ignorance if you wish

no one here will do that, we are here to help each other and learn ;)
