Hey all! I just stumbled onto a couple 18350's stacked is a big nono for any mod and now I am kind of worried. I have been stacking them in my Vamo for probably a good 4 months now. I have been using the same 1's always charged same time and never mixed(only 2 18350s I have). I went this route after trying an 18650 out and the Vamo would start to not fire for 3-5 seconds after the button was pressed. 18350's solved this issue... so my question is am I in danger or should i start shopping for a new PV?... batteries i use are efest Imr 18350's....

Thanks

What is the res of the atty your trying to fire when you have problems? What brand batteries are you experiencing problems with?

both 18350 and 650 are efest brand... and right now atty res is around 2.4 for a microcoil protank.. I also used to use ego mega dual coil carts and with both I experience the same delay in firing. What i have read before and what kottonmouth said is its common with Vamos. I just didnt know about the risk involving the stacking..I assumed Vamo and the like were made for that.

Mine is the v2 also, and all my batts are eFest. I don't think its the model in general, just a defect with either your specific device or your battery. But if you really want to get something different, look into the itaste MVP. Its definitely in the price range you mentioned. You can usually find it between $40 -$60.

IMO Your fine, your following precautions and have imrs. It's the only way the mod gets to a 5 amp limit. Stacking batteries in an unprotected/unregulated mod (like a mech) is dangerous. So far only the MVP has a 3 amp limit and provari v2 is 3.5 with one battery but only fully powers to 1.7

You should stay above 2.2 for one 18650, if the vamo is 2.5 amp limited with one 18650. or stack 350s for up to 5 amps and full power to 1.5 ohms, even as low as 1.2 ohm is possible.

I have the V2 Vamo and use Efest 18650 flat tops in with no problem. As for stacking, many people do it. There is a sub-forum on here for Vamo owners, might be worth checking out. VAMO

Maybe someone on there might have a better answer for you than I could give. Just my opinion, but the Sigelei Zmax is worth looking at if you are wanting something that will use your existing batteries, also the Innokin SVD and MVP2 are worth considering.

Edit, Just a thought, do you have any battery rattle with your V2 Vamo? I did with mine and replace the spring with one of these, http://altsmoke.com/sbhotspring.html In your situation this may not be the answer.
