As part of the reorganization, a number of the model specific subforums were retired. For those that had a supplier here, it made sense to insist that any discussions be under the supplier subforum. Others, like the Vamo, basically got orphaned.

yup they took our vamo thread away. almost with most of the other model specific threads. i understand why they did it but its sad. but todsho did yo u find the info you needed or are you still looking?

Still looking for a recomendation on an 18650 battery that will work in my V5. I bought some Trustfire 3000mah 18650's and they wont work. Wont even turn it on. They are also a very tight fit. I dont want to go through the same problem again.

I have the V5 and only use AW batteries as they are rated as one of the best on the market for vaping. I use both 18650 and two 18350's in the Vamo. The button tops work fine. If you use two 18350's, which will provide a higher range of power, make sure to only use matched sets and rotate which one goes in first after each charge to insure even drain on the battery. There are many places to get AW's, and you may find a little better price, but here is one option:

i have 2 efest 18650 3400mah that work great with my PT3 in my V3. also the 350s that came with my vamo when i bought it. all are button tops. the 650's give me about 2-4 days depending on how i am vaping. the 350's i do not stack and one lasts anywhere from a few hrs to a day maybe 2. i am sure there are better batteries out there. here are 2 threads another member wrote it.

Alrighty then. Batteries in a Vamo.

Both flat and button top batteries will work, both 18650 and 18350. Positive end in first, though it does have reverse battery protection. And, as already stated, if you stack your 18350s, keep them in a matching set. Try to start with brand new batteries when stacking and only use them stacked in the Vamo and not single in any other device, just to be safe. Some even go so far as to alternate which battery is top and which is bottom. Not sure if it's worth the trouble, but honestly I dunno. Do it if you want to be super uber double extra safe. Pretty much overkill though as far as I've seen in my own Vamo vaping.

However, I would ONLY ever use IMR batteries though. They have a safer chemistry, and the Vamo will most likely never tax an IMR battery enough to test that chemistry, compared to pushing a protected battery with bad chemistry and faulty protection.

Thanx for the replies. I have been using the 18350's that came with the Vamo since I got it a few months ago. I switch back and forth between using one and stacking. I only stack after a full charge. I'm just getting tired of charging the batteries every day. (or at least one) So I want a couple 18650's for at home and I'll use the 350's on the go. At least thats the plan. :vapor:

Thanx for this info. I wish I would have read this before wasting my money and time on something I know little about
I am the type of person to do a lot of research before moving forward on unknown topics, although in this case, I thought an 18650 was an 18650
WRONG..I really dropped the ball on this one! I hope other people will read up on this topic.

By the way, I have had an EGO battery blow up while charging...blew the bottom right out of the battery! The insides (battery I presume, not much left) flew into the next room and caught my wife's quilt rack on fire! Lucky I was home at the time and heard the explosion..sounded like a 44 goin off! I still have an EGO twist but NEVER leave it charging when not around as with any battery!

Panasonic CGR18650CH... They are less expensive and provide a longer vape time than the AW. I have three of those and two AWs. I only use the AWs when I forget to charge my Panasonics. The one issue I have with them is that the plastic insulation that covers them is rather fragile. The VAMO exacerbates this issue because the outside threads of the cap battery are on the tube rather than the cap. This creates a sharpish edge that scrapes across your battery every time you install it.

I have 4 of those Panasonic CGR18650CH and 4 of the AW IMR 2000mah.
The Pannies seem to last a little longer.
I always bring my kit with 2 spare evods, 6 18ml bottles of juice and a spare 18650 when I go out.

todosho there is a whole thread on the hammer clones. i ordered mine from fasttech along with a russian 91% to top it. and i cannot wait til it gets here. i love my vamo and protanks but i wanted to take that step into mechs and rba's and the hammer is by far the smallest mech i found and it isnt a box or tube.

I think thats goin to be my next Mod due to it's small size and portability.
