Vamo V5 and PCB

Hi everyone! After two months of vaping, I upgraded from a vision spinner ego to a Vamo V5. I've been doing a lot of research on batteries and so far I've have found conflicting posts on whether or not a PCB battery will work in a VAMO V5. I know that most people suggest choosing an IMR battery but I found a great local seller who has SenyBor 2250 protected batteries on sale. I am intrigued because not only is the price great (2 18650s for $13) but SenyBor batteries tend to have some of the highest ratings (% of claimed capacity and actual capacity).

I would have added this post to an existing Vamo battery threads but as a new member to the forums, I haven't hit the 5 post threshold, and can not post outside the new members area.

Are there any Vamo V5 owners who have tried PCBs? Also, are there any batteries that caused rattling (trying to stay way from them)?

Thanks in advance!

I got a protected AW18650 3100mAh that works but not well in my VAMO V5. It was shipped to me in error by the way. I now use either the IMR 18650 High Drains or the IMR 18350 High Drain type with very good results. I have EFest 800 mAh in the 18350 and 2000 mAh also bought in pairs. The AW was replaced with what I ordered the EFest 2250mAh which is a high breed battery. It also works well I might add. Just avoid the cheap ones and stick to panasonic, sony, AW which is branded but made by panasonic as is EFest.

These are the batteries that I use ( good price and free shipping ) -

Panasonic 18650 3400mah NCR18650B battery cell

OMG these green monsters are great, i love these batteries, use them in my VTR and they last 36 hours + sometimes, also have a 10amp continuous output and they work great in my mods, normally no lower than .5 ohms but still, great all around battery with long life.

I think some people like to run the 18350's stacked in the Vamo's they make the Vamo's run better at higher voltage, or keep a steady power flow better at higher voltage, I think?

I would just try the battery you said you want to and see what happens, the Vamo has some protection built in, it shouldnt let you blow it up or if anything it just wont fire if it dont like that flavor of battery. Dont get me wrong when people say to use IMR they do so because they are much safer so people feel safer telling people to use IMR. They/we dont want people going around blowing up devices. With that said, I have a bunch of batteries I use and only a handful are IMR.

It has been my experience that the 2 - 18350 stacked work great in the VAMO and my first choice. I also use the 18650 but don't seem to run as long.
