Vandy Vape Kylin RTA

i love the flavour and the vapour from this tank (6ml extension fitted) but have had some leaking issues. before letting it sit on the shelf of shame (quite like the sound of that) i thought we'd try and get along just one last time.
totally stripped it and cleaned it this morning and was extra careful reassembling it. so far so good but won't be shoving it in a pocket. 0.7 ohm coil wound by my not terribly delicate hands and wicked with cotton bacon. the vape is excellent...all the more noticeable as i've been using a baby beast for the last wee while. night and day flavour-wise.

It almost always come down to your wicking on leaks. For me it's whether the tank has shown sufficient manners that they can have a sleepover on top of a mod without my worrying about leaking into the mod during the night. Sure, there are always those problematic bad or improperly placed o ring or plain design flaw, but usually it's us that's the limiting factor on leak control.

i think it may have been the cotton stopping the juice flow holes closing properly. it seems to be rotating much more smoothly now and i haven't had any leaking after filling it a couple of times today.
i know exactly what you mean about trusting it to sit overnight on a mod. just checked it and all is dry under there. fingers crossed.
it is a very satisfying, cool, vape (6mg 80VG/20PG liquid and the tesla steampunk mod pumping out 30W)

The kylin has design flaws imho.

Great flavour and vapour but dribbles on the mod. I put my kylin on a stand over night too, my spare mod broke due to a leak from a different tank wrecking the board and stuff, dont want the kylin destroying my last one :/

i've sorted most of the leaks i think but there's still a little bit coming through to the top of the mod just like yours. also not leaving it attached overnight (or for long periods during the day without checking it and giving the mod a wipe) so it sits on its home made stand sulking slightly but in a golden fashion.

In terms of flavour - good. But not yet as good as my current everyday tank (iJoy exo rta). However I've been on the exo for a couple of months now, fine tuning my builds to just how I like it.
So over time I'm sure I'll get the kylin to really shine with flavour.

Running dual 2.5mm SS 26g, Kendo cotton. 0.29ohms, tc mode @45w, 165-175°c.

Seems to have settled in a bit since yesterday. Flavour is more pronounced.

Finding that I don't need to have the jfc fully open to get a satisfying vape. Using it at about half open. I find that this helps reduce juice consumption! Boy can this thing guzzle the juice!!!

Yeah, I'm liking this one.

The vape still isn't quite as saturated that of my exo (same wire, single 3.5mm, 0.6ohm with very shortest possible wick) so shall experiment over time to work out how to increase that.

I do like the fat (810?) drip tip on this one. First tank I've had with one. Haven't had a chance to try the kylin with a regular 510 to compare, but no complaints about it so far.
