I've finally made a recipe I've been chasing for a long time: true, clean vanilla, with lots of light cream, and loads of vapor. See more comments after the basic recipe:
VANILLA-CREAM MIST
6% total of any combination of FA Vanilla Tahiti, FA Vanilla Bourbon, and/or FA Vanilla Classic
2% FA Catalan Cream
3% FA Fresh Cream
optional: sweetener to taste
Comments: This is a really versatile mix. Each of FA's vanillas is a different flavor, and they all work great here. I like to use 3% each of the Tahiti and Classic, but I haven't tried any combination that I didn't like. Use what FA vanillas you have, or get all 3 (I recommend) if you're a big fan of REAL vanilla, and go by aroma to choose your favorites. They taste like they smell. Bourbon is the deepest flavor, Classic reminds me of common vanilla extract, and Tahiti is "bright" vanilla. They combine perfectly.
Percents may look low, but don't go higher without trying it first. FA flavors are very concentrated, and this is not a weak recipe.
Fresh Cream is fluffy, plain cream. It makes this a mellow vape and adds a lot of vapor.
Catalan Cream adds richer creaminess, a hint of sweetness, and a needed sharp note.
I add 1 drop per ml of Ethyl Maltol for sweetener. It's a fairly dry taste without it. I tried 1 drop per 2ml of Sucralose and like that as well - almost as sweet as a dessert, not yet overbearingly-sweet.
It makes a light amber juice and vapes very clean. The aroma left behind is subtle and fades fast, smells like something vanilla is baking.
It's fine vaped fresh, after a warm bath and vigorous shake. It did benefit from sitting overnight to meld the vanillas.
I've made several large bottles and they're all GREAT FOR MIXING with other flavors. Even my DIY failures are vapeable when mixed with this mellow, creamy vanilla. Or add a couple drops of Rum - yum! My too-strong eggnog is now fixed. Harsh coffees become latte. I'm really pleased with it and hope someone else can benefit from all the experiments it took to finally get this right!
