Vanilla Mod Pin upgrade frustration

Hello all,

I am in need of your help, I got a Vanilla mod with copper Pin and I am sick of cleaning the darn thing every 3 days if not less.

I looked at lokalvapor and even ordered a set and after 2 days they telling me "Sorry, we placed your order but we do not have the pins". I ask of localvapor will get them back in and the manager told me "No, most likely not". So now I have the magnet upgrade which is great, but the pins are still my concern.

Could someone please point me to a site where they have the silver pins for the vanilla mod? I do not need the magnets just the 510 pin connector and the switch pin.

thanks a million, its so difficult to find certain after market parts to improve these switches. Its easy if you have a Stingray, Nemesis etc, but for these Vanilla Mods its a hassle after all.

I have one concern, could you maybe help me out with answering.... the purchaser of one of these upgrade kits stated the following "I would've given this 5 stars if it wasn't for 1 thing - the seal for the top pin was cross threaded. So the screw that goes around the adjustable pin wouldn't go in straight. Fortunately I had a new seal I had just gotten the day before, and it went in smooth as butter."

Could this happen also to me? Would I have to also order to Vanilla Insulators >> Mojo Vapor-Smok-e Mountain Vanilla Insulators

I also see that they have the full set but all I need are the screws really.... as I have the magnets already and for much cheaper.

Basically you are paying $24.95 for the upgrade kit just to have the silver plated pins. I also ordered extra insulators with the kit to be on the safe side when I read the same review and save on postage down the road,

Looks as if Localvape is done with Smokey Mountain and mojo has taken over the baton.
Now I just need to get a set of magnets as the ones that come with the upgrade kit apparently fail really fast unlike the ones you got from SMM (N35's right?)

Other mods I got at the same time: hybrid adapter, mixed top caps and locking ring in SS to mix with my copper look!!

On reflection, might have been better off just buying another Vanilla in SS!! The hybrid has copper pins and isn't a true hybrid although I see Todd on Youtube uses an alternative one to great effect.

I didn't see the screws, although I saw the magnets, which are not what I need... I am just looking at the posts for top and bottom,.

Hi, I also couldn't saw no pins on Fatdaddyvapes, only magnets for the Vanilla!?! So any luck finding them elsewhere ? The magnets from SMM are a minimum order of 10, Don't want to sell me a couple of yours do ya? Hard to ship stuff to ST Maarten!

Received vape mail today from California here in St Martin..yippeee. The hybrid adapter pins are similar to the ones that come with the regular top cap for eliminating battery rattle but the positive post pin is shorter of course.

Tried attaching my Magma and the positive pin is too short to make the contact with the atty when fully adjusted. The delrin is much shorter than regular top cap versions so there is no possibility to remove any material from that to aid the situation. i ended up having to take the positive pin from the original top cap ( which is longer) and forego the rattle adjustment part of the pin and it works but there is a small gap at either the bottom or top depending on how you adjust it!

at least it works.
