Vanilla not so vanilla. Coke seems flat?

I received a bottle of vanilla from one vendor and a sample bottle of vanilla from another. They both taste exactly alike but neither one tastes like vanilla. I used a new fresh clean cartridge and atomizer when trying this so I could get an accurate review in.

So what do they taste like? HAZELNUT! Both of them! I could see it being a mistake if it were just one single bottle that I ordered but coming from two different vendors and having the same smell and flavor is just too coincidental.

Anyone else experienced this with their vanilla flavoring?

I also gave Coca-Cola a test drive and while it smelled like Coke there wasn't really a flavor to speak of upon vaping it. Just a slight aftertaste of some kind, or any kind of generic cola. I think I was expecting a sensory overload of Cola but maybe I just got my hopes up. You know like one of those Cola flavored Icees you can buy at the convenience store? I was expecting that kind of flavor! No dice!

I still have over 2 dozen other flavors to try and will be giving my reviews of them over the next several days.

Can not comment on the hazelnut flavor since I am allergic to nuts/legumes so I have never tasted one. lol But the vanilla I have is weak- I am waiting until payday to pick some up from a vendor that mixes their own to see if there is a difference.

I haven't tasted coke but I have pepsi and at first it really had no flavor but as my taste buds come back I can now really taste the pepsi flavor but it does taste like flat soda.

Vanilla is a difficult flavor to perfect. A lot of people, including me, find Capella Flavor Drops Vanilla Custard to be a good one. This is a flavoring, not a finished e-liquid so you can use it to augment your existing liquid.

looks like what Guineahill said is true. the vanilla i got from china(dekang?)
was weak too. and i just got a 'french vanilla ice cream' from another vendor that was more butter tasting than anything else. i too am looking for a 'better' vanilla. i have not tried a cola flavored yet, i will later maybe.
i have some TV style butter rum coming from TV, we will see about that first.
