So apparently e-cig booths are the "in-thing" now at flea markets. A co-worker told me they went to a place called Traders World, (it's a massive indoor flea market complex in southwest Ohio), and it seemed like every 4th booth was a exclusive e-cig booth.

This is the same flea market known to sell air soft guns, drug paraphnilia, fiber optic trinkets for your press board curio cabinet, and other items stereotyped to be white trash favorites.

This makes me ask the question, What cheap pipe bomb mods with questionable batteries are they selling to people.

Please take no offense, I'm part hillbilly.

No offense as I am part hillbilly myself (notice my avatar).

I do worry about people selling cheap crap that will eventually harm people, that is why I will not do business with places like that. Even when I do online business I usually check here on ecf to see if they are reputable.

I know vaping can get expensive but your health and safety should be first and foremost when buying equipment. I do try to find good deals when buying new stuff but I still try to be careful about who I do business with.

So many of these mods are made in China. China does not exactly have the best reputation for quality and safe products.

If a flea market vendor can sell a Sigelei mod for $57.00, I wonder how much the vendor is paying for them?

BTW I own a Sigelei and it's not a bad mechanical for what it is. I had to laugh that it has no directions, just a piece of paper in the box warning you not to use batteries that will explode...lol.

I'm not exactly what you would call "lower class" myself so I don't see vaping that way. As a matter of fact I think vaping could possibly be a bit to expensive for what some would call "lower class".

I think vaping is fun and kinda futuristic, it is leaving the past of old nasty stinky cigs and moving forward into the next era. Kinda cool in my opinion!

The people that look at vaping as a hobby for "lower class" evidently don't vape.

It never occurred to me to think of vaping as being any class. :?: So, now I am thinking about it....hummmmm....I can admit to feeling like a pariah for smoking. I was very conscious of what others thought about my smoking. Especially at the family reunions for my husband's family. They are of the religious persuasion that prohibits smoking and drinking for the most part. Please don't get me wrong: they are some of the greatest people I have ever met and I love them dearly. I have always felt that I was letting someone down when I smoked around non smokers. Then, I quit for almost two years and I learned how bad a smoker smells. Even when I smoked outside on a breezy day, I stank (stinked? stunk? whatever, I smelled bad!). I didn't like to hug non smokers anymore and hugs are such a great thing! None of this made me quit smoking. With all that said, I guess I feel kinda "high class" for vaping instead of smoking!

Hubby taught me that redneck means the same as white trash where he came from in TX and he takes umbrage to both terms. EXTREME umbrage! I have been called lots of names in my life for one reason or another. I tend to have people either really like me or really dislike me....very little middle ground. I have never been politically correct and I love Jeff Foxworthy! I owned a mobile home when I young and didn't find trailer trash to be very flattering but didn't ever think it applied to me! I am Italian Irish and been called the ethnic names that go along with it. Oh well. Then there is my weight...heck I offer a great opportunity for the assignment of a plethora of pejorative names.

I like being called a vaper!

As to flea market booths, which is actually the subject of this thread, I think it might behoove us to check them out and let friends know if we find dangerous or overpriced merchandise. I know the B&M stores have a huge mark up. I was talking to a new vaper who had not been searching the internet for supplies and he was astounded at the online pricing. It is so much better than the stores here. However, you just can't put a price on the great customer service and education that is provided by at least one of them.

Can't blame anyone for trying to make money. Can't anybody blame me for trying to save money. So I can see me buying at a flea market as long as I kind of know what I'm looking at. I take the same chance when I get a shipment from Fasttech and have been super please so far.

Got to disagree with Glowplug's hubby (sorry) but I don't think redneck is no where close to white trash. I've never been high society myself but I have morals so I guess I'm a step up from white trash. I could pass as a redneck and still be proud of who I am. (I'm more Larry the Cable Guy). Bottom line.... doesn't matter where you live, what designer name is on your clothes, what kind of car you drive as long as you treat people the way you want to be treated, respect people that are older than you and don't kick dogs. Well I'm gonna hush now before I start sounding like Forrest Gump. heehee

Vapor booths...vapor stores...vapor websites...there's going to be a lot of vapor going on!

Well said.. If your conerned about what your buying, use the research tools at your finger tips. Then go save some money. It's likely you will be buying the same Chinese product your local B&M is selling.

Yeah, what he said.

Almost all of this stuff comes from the same region in China. Words like copyright and patents don't seem to translate well. They make knock-offs of the knockoffs they "acquired" from the original designer. That's the way it is.

They may not have invented vaping, but they produce and market everything you need at unbelievably low prices. This not only provides access to a huge potential market, but creates business opportunities as well.

It's easy to forget that MOST people don't know, or even care about vaping. To them, it's an alternative to smoking and nothing else.

If they see something at a swap meet, B+M, ebay, or wherever and feel it's within their budget, they will buy it. And if helps them to quit smoking it was a bargain.
