Hello world...

Yesterday was 3 months since my last analog!;)

Unfortunately my vape stopped working, 3 months to the day that i first started using it. I tried to repair it because i do have electronic experience- and.... well the mods to da mn small, and my hands are too da mn big!

I need a new one, and im looking for suggestions.

I was using an Itaste MVP which i really liked due to it being self contained, having a charge that lasted almost 7 days, i could charge my phone from it, and the price was great.:D

I dont know if i want to be buying a new vape every 90 days with itaste though. I heard alot of them crap out at around a month, so i think i got some good use out of it...

As much as id like to spend 300 on a sweet new Provari set up, i cant really afford it. So are there any good vapes in the 100-150(pushing it) range that would be a major upgrade to what ive been using?

Right now im using a stupid old blu battery with a tank on it hahaha, it looks stupid but it works for now!

Im planning on buying today hopefully...

Thanks for everything!

If you like the MVP form factor but want something a little more sturdy, there is a lot of love going around for REOs. They seem to be a great mechanical box mod, and since they are mechanical there is less to go wrong. AFAIK they also make a variable voltage model as well. This way, when your batteries crap out, you can just order some new ones without having to replace the whole thing!

The whole ProVari setup is actually going to be around $200 and not $300. Maybe even a little less if you can get a blem. If you can swing the extra 50 bucks it is well worth it.

Really? Does that come with batterys and a charger too?

Can a provari charge with a cable? Or does the battery have to be removed and then charged by itself?

Any other info that will convince me to spend the extra cash?

I really need a nail in the coffin to fork over 200.00 at this time haha...

I would suggest a Vamo.

I second this motion. A Vamo V2 stainless, one 18650 battery, one 18350 battery, and a good charger would be in the ballpark of 100$, maybe less, but don't cheap out on the batteries and charger. Not only is it dangerous, but your batteries and charger can later be used in any device down the road, such as a Provari, box mods, mech mods, Seigelis, etc.

Forget the provari, it's a huge waste of money. Either get the vamo or the sigelei zmax, they are far superior to the provari and much cheaper. They have better screens, menus, variable wattage is a huge plus and the electronics in them are better regulated. You will get a much better vaping experiance from the vamo or zmax then you ever could with the provari and for a quarter of the price.

Build a Puck mod that uses 4AAA rechargeable batteries and as long as you have an atomizer, you'll never have to worry about broken ecigs again. All parts can be found at Radio Shack for less than $10. And when you're done, you'll discover that it most likely vapes better than the vape you spent a ton of money on.

A 3ohm atomizer on a 4AAA Puck is the perfect vape. You can spend alot of money on a variable voltage mod, but you don't have to. But if you do, you'll find yourself defending your purchase regardless of how crappy your vape might be.

That's crap. Three months, I was looking at that but not now, one to three months is not worth it

-Could you iterate why the Vamo and zmax is far superior to the Provari (besides price obviously)?
-What makes the vaping experience better?
-Since OP is looking for advice...can you explain how the regulation is better and how it works?
-What kind of warranty comes with a Vamo and can you send it in to be repaired if it breaks?
-How many months have you used your Vamo?
-Do you use your Vamo more than you use your Provari? And why?

I've used VW on other devices before but I'm curious about the Vamo - never used one.

But the most important question:
- DO you even OWN a Provari?

.......you'll find yourself defending your purchase regardless of how crappy your vape might be.

True, very true :)

EDIT: this site needs a rating system like YouTube uses...thumbs up,thumbs down etc. to have a reliable consensus amongst posts to regulate bad advice so new vapers can actually learn useful information.

Just priced a couple in my area.

Zmax- 150, with 2 batterys and charger...

provari- 225 with 2 batterys and charger...

I am a DIYer but probably not when it comes to vaporizers.

My friend has an Ego Twist, but im not sure i like it. It feels like if i drop it, its going to break.

Man, trust me. I'd never made anything in my life and I managed to build a puck. Even after you buy your expensive mechanical mod, go ahead and build one. You'll enjoy it and then you'll have the skills to vape when the apocalypse comes.

You won't believe how well it vapes. Truth is, most people with variable voltage mods end up vaping at about 5 volts and 3 ohms anyway. Unless they're trying to save battery life.

Just about everything in that post is opinionated garbage with a few lies thrown in ^
The electronics are far better regulated in the ProVari and it's built like a tank. I bought my ProVari used off of the Classifieds for $95 shipped. It came with two batteries, battery extension tube and original cap. In my opinion, the ProVari is worth every penny of what ProVape asks.

The Vamo is a fairly sturdy mod, but you should be aware that several people, including myself, have managed to break them and some people have had them just stop working. With that in mind, for the money, the Vamo is still the best of the cheaply made, low priced, variable voltage mods out there.

Regardless of which mod you go with, the best place to get your batteries and charger from will be RTD Vapors. They have the best quality, service, and prices on batteries and chargers out there.
Battery Chargers : TrustFire TR-003P4 This is not the best charger out there, (that would be Pila) but this is a good charger and it won't break the bank. Many vapors use this charger.
AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh
Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh
These are links to the two batteries you should use with this kind of a mod. The 18350 and the 18650 can be used in the Vamo. The 18650 can also be used in the ProVari with the purchase of the optional extension cap.

Yes, you can get the Provari kit that comes with everything. Personally I saved $25 and ordered my batts and a Pila charger from lighthound.com.

You must remove the battery to charge it.

I certainly don't regret it, the Provari is built incredibly well, has a year warranty, and regulates voltage very well. I can't speak to the other mods as I haven't tried them.

I ordered my black ProVari mini with 2 batteries and a charger for $218 shipped from the ProVape website. I got the blue LED which was 15 bucks extra, and I think the colored ones cost more than the silver. You can even find the batteries and charger cheaper on other sites, but I was just looking for convenience.

So i ended up going with a Provari.

When i got to the place called Vape Revolution i had my mind set on a Zmax. After about a half an hour talking to a guy- who was well informed on just about every single one they had, i asked to see a Provari.

As soon as i held it in my hands, i knew it was extremely high quality. It felt like it would work just as good as a weapon as it would a vaporizer.

After some haggling, i ended up walking away very happy. A silver Provari, Two batteries, a WPII charger, a new tank, and a pack of cartomizers for 230.00.

It was more than what i wanted to spend- but at least i know i got something that i could tell was built to last, and made in USA. The 1 year warranty doesnt hurt either.

And even if i decide to quit down the road, it can still be sold for a good chunk of cash.

Thanks everyone for the input!

Happy vaping!
