Vape Escape Riva 1100 Kit

Got this today and I don't know what I'm doing wrong here because neither battery is working for me and I doubt they are both faulty.

Charged both until the charger light turned from red to green and the blue light is flashing on the battery. I know that 3 quick clicks turns the battery on and off, and the blue light briefly flashes, I just don't know when the battery is actually on and off. Is the blue light supposed to stay on because the only time it responds is actually when I click it 3 times?

This was first time using e-liquids and I think that I was careful enough filling the sides and avoiding the bit in the centre. My clearomiser is now filled to nearly 1.6 and I have been dripping another liquid into my cartomiser (between 20-30 drops in total) for hours now.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok, that was my second 'as thick as excrement in the neck of a bottle' post today You hold down the button to use battery...

Using the 'Virginia' liquid that I filled the clearomiser with, the taste is quite nasty. I think I put too much in because it doesn't taste right and my throat hurts a little when I use it. Switched to my 'Deluxe' tobacco filled customiser and it's a little better but taste is also quite horrible. Reminds me of the smell in science class when burning food with a bunsen burner.

They can't replicate the taste of good tobacco. I thought I would like tobacco flavors but hate them also. Except RY4, I am more of a coffee (which I don't drink) and dessert (which I don't eat) type person. It's crazy! I eat fruit, hate fruit vapes. That "throat hurts a little when you use it" is the throat hit, and some people love it.

May I suggest you do a search and find the youtube video on "condom method" to fill your cartos? There is no reason it should take more than 30 seconds to fill a carto. Dripping just doesn't do it well. You really can't "put too much in" or it will flood, so I would think that it would be the opposite and it hadn't saturated it well enough.

Finding a good juice is a journey. Get lots of samples and finally one will be great! Good luck.

Yeah, I bought a bottle of 'Virginia' with 3 samplers (Deluxe, USA Mix, Gold & Silver) because liquids that reminded me of tobacco seemed to be part of the logical progression to vaping. I can get used to the taste, I'm just paranoid that I did something wrong or something. It's the high strength stuff, so I'm also feeling a little light headed (I hope that's natural!). I love coffee, so I think I'm going to give that a try. Believe me, the satisfactory throat hit was one of the reasons I was so impressed with vaping. I'm asthmatic though and get a sore throat from time to time.

I'm going to put another 8 drips in in the carto. How long should it take to saturate?

If you are feeling light headed, that is too much nic. Here is a run down on the condom method, the best I can explain it:

the cartos come with little plastic things on both ends. Take them both off. Fill one half way, then take your carto and put the screw side into the condom. Slowly slide it down, and the juice will be forced up through the hole. Do this until the top (where you put your mouth) looks "slushy". Blow out the carto into a paper towel to get any juice out of the middle. Vape right away. It fills the carto from the bottom up and saturates it very well.

Dripping just doesn't cut it.

Isn't that the atomiser? I thought that bit was meant to be kept liquid free?

Regarding refilling cartomisers/clearomisers, can you use a different liquid on them when it's run out/dry or is it recommended to stick to one particular liquid for each?

Yep, you fill it from the atomizer end... just blow it out from the mouth end when you are done. It is best to NOT let it run dry or you can burn the filler and then all is lost, you simply can never get that nasty burnt taste out. I just use one for each flavor, but have been known to refill with a different flavor if they were close enough and mixed well.
