I'm not sure what to believe exactly. I have seen "facts" that state while there are less carcinogens in e-cigarette liquids there are also things in it that nobody should want to have in their body, such as lead. I have also read that VG can get broken down from being heated, as we do with these vaporizer gadgets, to be toxic. I put the word facts in quotes because I'm skeptical of how true these claims are. With every article you read online anymore there are also just as many articles that say what another article says is not true.

Kanthal does not contain lead. However inhaling Aluminum and Iron is proven to not be good for us and it does contain both of those, and chromium which is also probably not a good thing to be inhaling. So if there is lead in it where is it coming from?

Many of us that vape are doing it as an alternative to smoking. It doesn't make any sense to me to use an alternative that also introduces things into my body that aren't any good for me. Contradictory, I've smoked cigarettes for nearly 30 years. I'm all of a sudden concerned about what I'm doing to myself. Both with cigarettes and vaping.

Is there a way to make e-liquid truly safer? Perhaps use distilled or purified (pi) water? Water can be flavored as well, the same way we're flavoring glycol and glycerin, and presumably, since our bodies need water, it would be safer. Water vaporizes too.

Why Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin? Why not just water?
Density?

Without having enough specific knowledge to address each of your points, I'd just respond generally that the idea of harm reduction is to move to products that are safer, but that doesn't mean vaping is 100% safe. I think there's still a lot of research to be done, and I'm skeptical of a lot of what I see because I haven't seen anything where the source didn't have an agenda.

Vaping may or may not be bad for you. Smoking is very bad for you. I know which of the two I prefer.
