Is there any good way to go around and taste a variety of flavors without fatiguing your taste buds?

I went around to a few shops last weekend and sampled a dozen or so juices at each stop. after a few it was hard to pick out the flavors in the juices.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Are there any known remedies for this?

I know with tasting food you can use a citrus sorbet to cleans the pallet, has anyone tried this (or similar pallet cleansing techniques) when sampling many different flavors of eliquid?

I've been to a couple of vape shops and sampled their juices. It was not a very worthwhile experience for me. First, I really can't tell if I like something by just a couple of puffs. Second, even if it did taste pretty good to me, I flinch at paying the prices in the local stores. I don't want to fall in love with something that is expensive, lol. I've done better just getting small bottles online, trial and error, and taking my chances.

I've found quite a few that way which I really like, and nothing I've purchased online is what I would call "unvapeable." If it's not my favorite I just sit it aside, and maybe try it again in a few days. My taste is changing slowly, and I'm pretty new still.

As to your actual question, since I got sidetracked, lol, maybe take a bottle of something citrus flavor with you, like Mountain Dew or Gatorade, to sip between testing.

I don't know if this would work for everyone, but I stumbled into something that works for me. I was not tasting my juice the other day after vaping on it for awhile and reached for a bag of Doritos. Ate a few of them and when I went back to vaping, the taste was back. Easy to carry snacks along when you visit B&M's.

Thanks for the replies!

I usually just take menthol with me, that seems to do an ok job of wetting my mouth, kinda clearing the last flavor. (Forgot it last weekend though)
Now that you mention Doritos, at home I also noticed salty snacks (sunflower seeds) kinda help separate flavors when switching liquids.

I agree - I dont buy 30 mils of liquid based on a first impression, but I will buy 10, just to see if its something I like.
I have a few local shops who's "House Blends" aren't outrageously priced (about the same as MBV), so I was giving them a try :)

I'll have to try that citrus juice thing (i know i know, only in a glass tank), or maybe stop by jambajuice and grab a citrus smoothie o_O

Doritos, huh! Sounds good. I've found that eating a Hershey's Kiss works for me, too. I think maybe lots of things work to shock your taste buds a little, and wake them up. It seems mine were sleeping for all those long smoking years, lol.

I read on here that people smell ground coffee beans to "cleanse the pallet" in between various flavors. Might be awkward to go to vape tasting bars with a Folgers can however.

I keep a couple of teaspoons of coffee grounds in a pill bottle. If a flavor starts disappearing, I'll take a few nose hits on my bottle and I'm back in the game in a bit. A good rinse with a bit of H2O gets the mouth refreshed too.

I carry a glass of ice water with me and swish a bit around my mouth once in a while. Also find at home that if my flavor goes off, a water rinse helps out.

Other than that, changing flavors for a while or just resting your buds seems to help.

Got a friend setting up a vape shop and I am trying to get him to install a water cooler with dixie cups for this reason as well as vapors-throat.
