Yep, it's gotta be their nicotine then, if some of you find their high VG blends harsh. I have 12mg & 6mg of their flavors (50/50) and both are harsh. I dig a good throat hit, but others that I have in 12mg are not nearly as harsh.

As my bottles have a few months steep on them, do any of you find that the nic is smoother lately (am I correct in recalling that they changed their nicotine or was that ITC)?

This last order I just got is much smoother than what they used to be I find.

Count me in on Team Taste the Harshness. Most of the flavors I've tried are pretty harsh. Good flavor, but harsh. Esp. the fruits.
+1 for the fruits.

Others have said it's cheap nicotine. And that's probably true. But it's also true that a lot of brands use cheap nicotine. I've also gotten the harshness in vapor fi's and MBV's liquids, so for me it comes down to whose taste better and who's more consistent.

I also found their fruit flavors to be overly harsh. More than once I also got fruit flavors that had a rubbery or plastic flavor as well. The only fruit flavor that I really enjoyed and did not find harsh was Just Peachy. The non-fruit flavors didn't give me this experience. They range from fairly good (On Cloud Custard, Circus Bear) to fairly meh (Smurf Cake, Banchee). I'm considering trying them again because I'm trying to cut down on my juice costs and have zero interest in messing with DIY.

I played this game a few years back of trying out different vendors and trying a lot of different juices and I found two places I really liked. Sweetvapes an Backwoods Brew. My all day vape is Kona Latte from Sweetvpes my other go to is Casablanca from Backwoods. I love my Kona but it is very expensive, something like $100 for 240ml, so I decided to try the game again and I bought a bunch of different flavors from Vape Wild and also Mount Baker. As I really like the coffee type flavors that is what I mostly got or let me say no fruit type. I was thinking for the price difference of what I pay at Sweetvapes compared to $35 for 240ml at vape wild I could learn to like a different flavor well I might of but the cheap nic or whatever it is that's burning my throat just isn't worth it. All I have to say now is this is why I stopped trying different juices, I found the vendors I like, yes there juices are more expensive but you get what you pay for.

To be fair I get harshness from the 9MG. The 3MG is just fine though. I have some sample bottles of 6MG in 50VG I have yet to try. Will post back what I think when I crack into them.

I'm just starting out, but I am trying a bunch of vendors right now.. Just ordered a stack of flavours from VW. any recommendations on how long to let them sit for before I try them?

I let mine steep for at least a month and also let them breathe 6 hours when they arrive.

Some of them are pretty good as soon as you get them but only get better with time.

I usually just try one tank of each juice fresh to see how it is and then put them away for a while. Pearadise is great fresh.

I get them in and I usually give them an abbreviated steep in the ultrasonic cleaner (usually three cycles with the heat on) then try them. I then let them sit for a few weeks with the caps off and at least once a day I squeeze the bottles to cycle the air through them.

Ya I read that your not sposed to let them air to much but then I read it don't matter really. I have never found any problems just airing them out for 6 hours or so.

Apparently letting them air for more than I think it was maybe 18 hours or something like that degrades the nicotine?

Either way whatever works for you best is the way to go. Like I said I find 6 hours good enough.

Squeezing with the caps off would certainly go through the juice quickly!:)
Haha well obviously he meant just squeezing the air out :p

I honestly think it's overkill a process like that but to each their own. Mine taste fine after 6 hours of breathing and a month of steeping is probably overkill too. I just buy so much at once that they end up steeping for that long anyhow heh.

I need to say that if I get a juice that is really good I don't let them steep that long or at all. I usually do the ultrasonic steep then try them as I said but if I get juice like I mentioned earlier I will steep like I said with the cap off and recirculating the air. Don't forget leaving the caps off isn't that bad especially when you have the little dropper spouts on them now if it was a 120ml bottle with a regular cap/opening I would not leave the cap off but I would leave it loose and recycle the air daily for a couple of weeks or so.

I take the lazy man's approach to steeping. Upon arrival each bottle gets a sniff and taste test before I toss it into my steep drawer. I have 6 tanks, each used for a different profile, so when I'm running low I give all the bottles I have in that profile a shake and repeat the above tests until I find the next one I want to vape. That's the only air and mixing they get. Of course, I've already developed a stockpile, so most get to steep at least a month.

So it's lucky I'm buying so much juice right now .. There will be a stockpile by the time it all arrives. I think I can maybe tell the difference between juice that needs to rest a bit and juice that's good to go. I got wakonda, and it is awesome, I can't put it down, but I also got custards last stand from nicoticket and it's kinda yuck.. Tasted like the cigalikes I tried to vape on years ago that I hated. But so many people say CLS is great, so I'm guessing this one needs a bit of a sit..

Just remember that what tastes good to others may be like skunk juice to you, I've run into that a bunch of times.
