But so much has changed I dont know what to get. I was using a puresmoker passthrough with 510 atty. Dripping on that was perfect! When it broke I just never bought a new one. I also still have some 510's and batteries but the battery life is week and they dont hit very well. I do like the 510 atty though. So what would you all recomend I look at to get started again. I think I would like to look more at some portable vaporizers that have a good throat hit like my puresmoke pass through had but I dont want to walk around with a screw driver all the time.

Well, the obvious choice, if you liked your 510, is to get an eGo ... that one neatly solves the battery problem. If you want to drip and use the cone, you need a drip tip, though.

Agreed, but if the pt was a 5v, would the eGo let down? I haven't tried anything but regular 510s and my eGo. I'm getting a 5v pt soon, just to see what more volts are like. I just thought that would be interesting to find out.

BTW b4tn, what made you stop vaping? Just the equipment breakdown?

I have almost the same story. When I started in early 09 I found the smoking everywhere thing and thought it was great until the battery life and atomizer jungling got to me and got tired and went the ryo route.
I recently picked up the Puresmoker V3.1 with the 3.7v 1600mAh batteries with the 801 LR atty and do not see myself going back to analogs.
This thing gives awesome amounts of vapor, soft th like I want and the batteries are lasting me 4 1/2 days of vaping until I have to change the battery out.
After the hole thing fiasco of the FSC cigarettes that came out early this year and going to the ryo route I got tired of rolling packs at a time and felt it was time to change. Now I can smoke in my office and 2 other guys at work have made the switch also. They both picked up the 6v system but I like to be a little different and glad I did.
Dont be afraid to try other atty out. I see all these people talking about the 510 on the forum but I love my 801's and am not going to switch.

Well, an eGo with an LR atty or a low-Ω-e2 will vape very similarly to a 5v-PT, but doesn't give you the hassle of a cable or the dangers of two batteries in your mod. Smaller, too. Worth a try, I would say, but then, I like the regulated 3.2v of an eGo very much, and it's relatively small size, too.
Matter of taste, in the end …

More lack of planning on my part. That and the complication. It was much easier to run to 7-11 to buy a pack that to keep fluid on hand, keep track of good atties, having a backup when batteries give or pt's break. Bad excuse I guess.
