For those that couldn't attend...VapeExpo was a lot of fun. The room was a tad smaller than VapeStock in Tampa but there seemed to be a sizable crowd. It was quite busy for awhile. Saw a lot of familiar faces from VapeBash and met some new folks. VapeNet was there with Mr. Vapor spreading his good cheer (and other things).
Managed to finally pick up some Pluid (which I can only describe as...interesting) and a Magneto along with some of Mr. e-liquid's menthol and some drip-tips. Actually won something in the raffle for a change...a Puritank from Revolver. Haven't tried it out yet but it looks promising.
The Magneto I did try out and so far seems to be a nice budget mech (well...I likely overpaid at $50...but I was there, it was there, and my credit card was there). Much nicer build quality than my Sigelei #19...threads are very smooth. The two magnet switch and reverse locking thread are very nice. I measured a .4 volt drop with an AW IMR 18650 which is respectable.
By far the most fun I had was just sitting at the table and building coils for people (or lending them my gear and watching them build coils). Had a frustrating half hour with an AGA-T2 and convinced the poor lad to snag an RSST which I had up and running in about 10 minutes. And micro-coils! I gave several demonstrations on building micro-coils with cotton wicks. That was a blast. "But the coils are touching! You can't do that!" Oh, yes I can. Best part was building dual micro-coils for my Cyclone with AFC and hearing someone behind me say, "Whoa...that's a cloud..." (Yes, I know Mr. Busardo...clouds aren't the end all be all of vaping...but they're still fun).
So, hats off to the sponsors of VapeExpo and all my fellow Michigan vapers that made the trip. I'll be there next year for sure!
Well, I'm off!
