Vaperite, one of my favorite vendors, has a menthol maker section on his website. Using it you can choose your base tobacco from his line, and add menthol from light to extra strong.
You can also add an additional flavor: watermelon, peach, apple, chocolate, grape
You can also choose your VG/PG mix
This is my review of one flavor made using the menthol maker, how it vapes, how it tastes. This is an initial impression and I will be adding more after it steeps and putting out the video review after that time as well. This juice was made to order as I requested VR4 as my base and that is not a normal option so it may need more steeping time than usual.
VR4, 18mg, 100% VG, medium menthol, chocolate added
Initial out of the mail box performance.
Vapor Production: There is a solid amount of vapor here not as much as some of his organic juice but still a respectable amount of thick vapor.
Throat Hit: Fantastic Menthol throat hit, just a perfect menthol blast on the inhale...I would say order one less than what you think you want as medium is rather strong on the menthol side but I am loving the medium strength menthol on this vape.
Smell : Nasty...nasty nasty...it smells like a chocolate cough drop..a nasty cough drop with a touch of chocolate...not my favorite smell.. THANKFULLY it doesn't vape that way.
Taste: I honestly don't know about this yet, the chocolate is a bit overpowering in respects to the VR4 base, the menthol is spot on perfect it has a mentholated effect without tasting like medicinal menthol, in fact I can FEEL the menthol but don't really taste the menthol...and I like it that way. The only down side is a slight metallic taste...reminds me of some flavoring companies burley, lorans I believe, that also has a metallic hint to it. As this isn't a taste I get from his normal juices I can only assume it is coming from the menthol or the chocolate. On the exhale I am getting more of his VR4 goodness than on the inhale and if I slowly exhale it I can really pick up the tobacco base of the VR4.
One thing about this taste is that it jumps wildly from a LR atty to a 2.0 cartomizer to a 3.0 standard atty on my Inferno....to the point where it almost taste like a different juice at 2.0 than at 3.0...I think this is one of the few juices I like better taste wise on a LR atty, with the 2.0 cartomizer the chocolate mellows out a lot.
All in all out of the mailbox it is vapable..and despite the complex description of the flavor above it is an enjoyable vape, I am going to let this sit for a few days and come back to it...see if the chocolate mellows out across the board.
If I go to order this again, and I might because I am liking the menthol sensation, I think I would get the burley with chocolate and medium menthol
or the vr4 without the chocolate and medium menthol
or the organic tobacco and ask him to go light on the chocolate and maybe light menthol
oh well as I said this is a fresh bottle right out of the mailbox I will be back after it steeps.
