Why are people using saline ? This ain't cookin'. Why add to more dehydration ?.
Well, In all fairness I haven't used it with the VT nic, or much of anything for a long time, but ....your dealing with "flavoring", and that, in it's self, is close to "cook'in"
You combo'ing flavors for a desired taste, and saline does bring out the flavors of certain juices.
It's such a mild solution, that it's not like "sprinkling the salt on" .. it doesn't even have a salty taste of it's own.
To me, it did make some of the fruits pop, when using the old nic.
It also helps chocolate .. just like in the kitchen.
Dehydration ?? .. nope..not "salty" enough for that. Actually it gives the opposite effect.
It adds a moisture feel in you mouth, and takes away that "throat catch" dryness felt by some.
from what I read the saline does not stay with the mix and diminishes rather quickly so your flavor changes to something else
You answered your own question
Like I said, I haven't tried it with the VT, since I don't use it anymore, but there were a few flavors I used it in, with the old nic.
I think it got started because it changes the PH of the juice, like the lemon juice and vinegar that people swear by.
It also takes the "bite" out of the juice just like it takes the bitterness out of a real grapefruit, and makes it taste sweet.
So, it was used to "smooth" a juice, by those that don't like a TH
I experimented with the lemon in fruits, and the vinegar with tobacco's, chocolate, just the "dark" juices.
I think Jimi's right about how there were a lot of additives used to try and make some of those "other" nic's vapable
Saline was/is the answer for a lot of vapers
BTY, I'm referring to the super (baby safe) .09 saline, without any additives, used to flush out wounds
