My belief at this time. With my limited knowledge of what the actual deeming regs say about nicotine if anything and after my trip to Chicago recently for the sfata meeting is that nicotine is somewhat safe since it is not the "end product" but an ingredient of the end product.

I sure hope your right, but nicotine is a "dangerous, un-tested, additive, poisonous chemical" according to the FDA, and I can't see them continuing to let the average person just freely continue to buy nicotine by the bottle.
I think it will be very heavily regulated, and IF you can still buy it, it will be in a limited amount, and taxed to the hilt :censored:

I also think business is booming because others feel the same way .. and it freezes very well !
Stocking up is pretty much on the mind of all vapers right now ..
It's like a sale on toilet paper ... WHAT, you aren't going to use it ???

The FDA has everyone guessing right now, and vapers would rather be safe than sorry.
Everyone is aware that changes are in the wind, we just don't know what they will be.
As Ben Franklin said "Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail"

Right now they are shouting "flavoring", because of the "children".
Nicotine will be next.
Big tobacco is out to make sure you only have the option to buy their products
The last thing they want is for you to be able to DIY

I will love it if I'm wrong, and I'm the first person who hopes I am.
I hate being a pessimist, but when it comes to the FDA, and the $$$ involved, I've taken off the rose colored glasses.

Think about this, And I Dont know this for sure. but is tobacco leaf taxed before being rolled into cigarettes,or taxed after entering the "end product"..

Ok, I see your point. But how many tobacco leafs are being sold before they are part of the end product ??
I think buying "juice" (end product), with nicotine will definitely be controlled, taxed and regulated.
The FDA has a real problem there ... one law will not fit all, since it's sold from 0nic to 24nic, even a few 36.

But .. I think buying juice with nicotine, is an entirely different story, than being able to buy just nicotine.

Buying nicotine by it's self, is not an "end product" .. it IS the product, and can be controlled as such.
I'm sure they will want to make it a "controlled" substance, and that it won't fall into the same category as pre-made juice.

I sure hope your right, but in the meantime, I'm one of your devoted customers

Hey K3vin I have a couple of questions when ya get the time…

I see the Nic, I see the flavors, But I don't see any base ingredients for sale on your site (i.e.: PG or VG). Do you sell them or are you planning on it?

Second question.. The flavors. I need to ask if there are sweeteners used and what they are. My wife has sensitivities to certain sweeteners and I would hate to get a few not knowing, and have her get a bad reaction.

Thanks!!!

Hi Gargoyle,
There is a "contact" option on their website where you can inquire about anything.

That's a good question .. and I would like to know myself.

I just came here to ask about the pg/vg...ya beat me to it...this VT nic and Inawera is a winning combo. I'm sure VT is going to be a thriving source once enough folks get a taste of the nic...eventually I'd love to see nic, pg/vg, Inawera, FA & Hangsen...could care less about the rest....for me that would be the cream of the crop all in one place

Gargoyle there is a huge Inawera thread in the DIY forum but I am sure VT or someone who has sampled more than me will be able to answer your question soon.

Think about this, And I Dont know this for sure. but is tobacco leaf taxed before being rolled into cigarettes,or taxed after entering the "end product"..

In answer to your thought, Kevin, I can give you some anecdotals:
While the tobacco leaf may be taxed, I believe it is at a much lower rate, at two or three stages. To explain it, I can give you examples and my own thought on it.
At my local tobacco store, you can buy a pound of "pipe tobacco" from several companies at a rate of $13-$16, depending on brand and whether it is menthol. This pound will fill approximately 2-2.5 cartons worth of cigarette tubes. It is a cut tobacco, but they tend to be a longer, stringy cut preferred by pipe smokers. The same brands of "cigarette cut" tobacco will run you approximately $25-$29, for the same amount of tobacco, and the tobacco is cut in the same small fashion you would recognize if you cut open a commercially made cigarette. So, as soon as you put the label "cigarette tobacco" you see the first hefty tax. If you buy two cartons of a mid - range cigarette brand, it will cost you $45-$75. The final tax.
So in summary, pipe tobacco is likely taxed, but not as heavily as cigarette tobacco, which is not as heavy as cigarettes.
....it is my personal belief that there have been many pipe smokers in the legislature over the course of history, and that helps protect pipe tobacco from being taxed as heavily as anything labeled cig.
......I'm not a BT executive, but I am a thinker.
