Vaping after a meal...

It might just be me, but if I vape right after a meal (when I REALLY want a cig) I get a weird burning sensation from the vape. It's almost like I just ate a mouthful of pepper... could it be that I am tasting the nicotine or something else in the juice?

Maybe because you really want a cigarette your trying to inhale more deeply or quickly? Some people describe nicotine as having a peppery taste.

Do you think its because you could be inhaling to fast? I know when i tend to over prime and flood my cart with quick draws i get that peppery taste as well. I just love flavorful hits!

Maybe try a lower nic level after eating? I know whenever I go with a high nic level (particularly in menthol or traditional flavored prefills), I get a funky metallic peppery taste. And I've noticed tasting more of the nicotine after eating. You are not alone. There are other weirdos out here. (Like me)

I know exactly what you're talking about. I'd stick with lowering the nic level. That worked wonders for my flavors.

It could be the nic (24mg) AND it could be that I am drawing too quickly. My tastebuds have come back full force (along with my sense of smell). I started out on disposables for about two weeks and now I think I am on week three w/ my Ego so everything is like Wow! Glad to know I am not crazy, even if gthompson thinks I am LOL.

Edit- After a meal I am really craving a cigarette (although the smell of them gags me now) so I am drawing pretty hard on this PV

Yeah, now that you've said you're vaping 24mg, I'm definitely going to restate: Lower your after-meal nic level. I've had to tinker with mine and go at around a 12-14mg at times to avoid the peppery taste.

I used to get that "peppery" taste with my cartridges, I figured out that I was hitting it too hard and often and getting a dry hit. There is not enough time for the juice to wick back down to the attomizer. After getting my tank, I don't get that anymore.

It also used to get that "peppery" taste when I first started vaping but now all that has gone away. I guess it takes time to get use to vaping.
