Hi everyone, I've been vaping for a while on and off, mainly because stuff keeps going wrong... So I'm gonna sign up here, work through the issues I've been having in the search for the perfect vape!
alot of things you need to consider while looking for the perfect vape. how much vapor your want how much throat hit you want, all of which can be determined on your mod tank and juice...everything plays a role. keep doing your research go to your local vape shop and test their flavors out also while inquiring about the tank that are letting you test the juice out of.
I started with a Vmod XL with a 1.5ohm atty and it was the most similar hit that satisifed my cravings from cigarettes. after a few months I moved to a vamo v2 because of the variable voltage. LOVED that unit and I still use it, as I can vary my voltage based on the mix I am smoking at that time.
Now I am running a magneto and a russian tank. at first it was just curiousity about the whole sub ohm thing...now its my daily vape and I run a .6-1.0 ohm on it and love it...so much more flavor and awesome throat hit from this setup...
Welcome guybrush92 to ECF. Most of us went thru that journey on finding "that perfect vape". Some bought more then others. Once you find what works for you you'll know you conquered that task of the "perfect vape".
Don't hesitate to ask questions. There are a lot of friendly and knowledgeable members here.
Thanks guys I've got a Vamo V5 and i'm actually pretty happy with it, although with the kanger coils i'm using (2.6 Ohms) it'd be nice if it had a higher wattage, i seem to just use it on 15W all the time. Or maybe i should just get lower ohm coils...
The main burning question I have at the moment is will a replacement base for a kanger protank fit a hypertank? I only ask because the threads on the hypertank I own have been shredded. If not I'll just go get a better BCC.
definitely look at getting a lower ohm coil...i used protanks with a 1.8ohm for awhile at 7watts...in the end if you can 'find time' (as that is the biggest complaint i find) then you should definitely go with a rebuildable atty/tank that way you can keep experimenting with coils and ohm until you find what you like
I'm almost a year into my vaping career, and have yet to find the "perfect" vape. I have, however, come across several combos that land just shy, and they've definitely kept me off of the analogs.
I know what you mean - its really hard to fight through all of the "fiddling" and find the *right* set up for you. It will happen though and I commend your perseverance.
We are all amateurs...no matter what it says over there on our avatars or down on our banners. We can't try everything all at once. I'm lucky enough to have found a few devices and a few flavors to keep me going while I sample all of the wonderful and not-so-wonderful devices that seem to appear daily. I have tried to limit myself to one new device every month (yeah, good luck with that). Every time I think I've found my perfect setup, I find a new perfect setup. Just keep on keeping on, and enjoy the journey.
I will say this trial and error is costing me a pretty penny, however have not had a cigarette since I started vaping 15 days ago...so this is a good thing.
