Thank you all for the replies...Its so appreciated as I have been feeling pretty alone with everything as of late. I will admit I'm pretty terrible at not drinking enough water, I'm bad about staying hydrated. Could dehydration cause me to feel this odd feeling you think? I will make a very honest attempt to drink more and see if it helps. Thanks again for all of your help.
I had the same problems...was never much of a water drinker. I found flavored waters, tonic waters etc help quite a bit. Sometimes just keeping lemons/limes around and adding a slice to tap water. A SodaStream can help as well.

Welcome from me as well.
There’s a feeling of kinship.

I’m suffering from ptsd.
I hope your from London too?
Sounds to me as if the stress, nicotine and caffeine is too much to handle.
Try perhaps to either decrease the nicotine or just vape a little less. Couple that with decaf.

Oh yeah, I agree. Don’t forget your water :thumb:
Best of luck to you.

Let us know how you progress.

Hey everyone...New here...Its been a super long time since I've used a forum, but I really need some sound advice. I've been a smoker for 30 yrs. I also suffer from Complex PTSD which is no fun believe me...It causes my system to be super sensitive to change. I've even been advised by a couple of my doctors not to quit smoking because it could cause more issues with my disorder. That being said, I lost my oldest son back in July of this year. Its been awful trying to keep my anxiety in check...I started smoking wayyyy more...well over a pack a day. I wanted to try to stop. I decided to try vaping. I picked up an easy to deal with vape. Joytech AIO....love this thing...Started with a low nic juice from Halo, Tribeca, which I love the tasted of. My issue is that everytime I vape for more than a day, I seem to start having issues with my anxiety. I tried upping my nicotine level because everyone was saying it wasnt high enough..I'm not willing to go up past the 6 mg because I know I will over vape and end up with jitters and headache, if not worse. I am down to about 12 cigarettes a day and vaping here and there...but I can not figure out what it could possibly be with the vape that is making me feel weird...It makes me feel like I've been smoking (other stuff)....which I do not do because it makes me feel like this...I dont like this lol. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm worried I just may be someone that cant vape which makes me sad as I dont want to be a smoker anymore.

I've never been formally diagnosed with PTSD but I meet the definition, although I'm certain I'm much farther away in a time line than you are from the cause of it, from the sounds of it. For me I'm sure what was most helpful is the fact I cannot remember some of the worst of it... I have entire months I cannot recall any aspect of.

I also started vaping within a year of my daughter dying.

So first let me say I'm sorry for your loss and all you went through.

Second, you CAN do this...

Third, what @stols001 said I agree with for the most part.

Up your nicotine, your not getting enough from vaping the 6mg, try some of the WTA e liquid, and try as much as possible to avoid as many cigarettes as possible. .. chain vape.

Good luck to you... withdrawals suck. Just remember it's poisen leaving the body.

between here and there
I honestly havnt found any doctor that is familiar with the effects of vaping or even any real opinions of it.
It really is not effects from vaping(except dehydration) it is the withdrawal from smoking. Right now your body is screaming because it want its fix. That is why its ok to up the nic level or to chain vape. With vaping it takes longer for the nic to get into your system than it does with cigarettes. Give it time. Once your body is at a level it is happy with(on nic) any withdrawal symptom should tone down considerably. Be sure to 'listen' to what your body is telling you. If you still feel 'something' is missing -- that is where the WTA comes in. Not everyone needs WTA to quit cigarettes but some people do need it. Smoking is such a tough addiction to beat because of all of the aspects of our lives that it dominates. Physical addiction is only a piece of the overall puzzle. Other pieces include emotional, psychological, social behavior and the individual behaviors and rituals we go through when smoking. Each time you hit one of your triggers(to smoke) pick up the vape instead and puff your way through it. Or have that one tank of juice that has a higher nic level than you normally vape on throughout the day.

We have all been where you are. Please let us help, if we can.

:)

Best definition of a doctor I ever heard was someone who provides medicine he does not understand for conditions he knows nothing about.
The epidemic sweeping the US would seem to back this up.
I found a good B&M store really helpful.
Have a few different devices, different juices, different PG/VG ratios.
Took me well over a year to quit smoking all together. A serious case of bronchitis made the final push a little easier.
Wouldn't recommend that one.
We each find our own way forward.
You will too. Don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen overnight.

Friends of ours lost their boy this year.
Out of the blue. Life can be so cruel.

lynyrd skynyrd said it best with the line
" The more I fight the sadness just seems the more that I grieve "

Best wishes.
