Vaping/Analogs/Frustrated....have you been here?

Ok.... So.... I started vaping last week.... It was so satisfying that I quit analogs... I have a regular old 510.... and just have had one flavor of juice.... I ordered a bunch of juice and 2 new models an ego and the bolt... I have not received these yet... I mean I just ordered yesterday...

Well over the last few days... the particular flavor that I have just started to not taste good anymore... and as far as I could find no local vendors accept fumo brand and I have heard nothing but complaints about fumo...

So....... this whole time I have been off analogs my husband is smoking them.... he went from non smoker to smoker about 6 months ago.... I am/was a 20 year smoker.... so to make a long story short... I am so frustrated...

I did not even want to smoke an analog.... but that satisfaction that I got from my 510 and flu cured liquid that was once so wonderful I didn't want a cig went away!

My question is.... Yesterday I spent a few hundred bucks on hardware and liquids... I am worried now that I am not going to be satisfied and this will all be for nothing.... I felt so wonderful... I could feel my breathing better,,, smell better (good and bad)... had ideas of going to the gym and swimming laps for the first time in years!

Has anyone else been at this point and recovered back to vaping?

Thanks all :) I appreciate any input!

Determination is a key word here. What are you determined to do. I myself feel vaping is more pleasent than analogs (analog free for 14+ months). I can not stand to be around analogs. I vape tobacco flavors, but do not get the unpleasent taste/smells of them. My key to satisfaction was to find a device and flavor to my like to let me want to vape instead of smoke. It does take experimentation, with all the $$$$ I spent on vape supplies, I still spent a lot less than on packs of nastiness.

Hang in there! My wife and I started vaping 2 years ago. We both smoked analogs for over 20 years and weaned ouselves off of them within a week. But we still had cravings for an analog every once in a while for the first 6 weeks or so. I even dreamed about them. But now I can't imagine ever picking one up again, ever.

Vaping is a lot more difficult I think. It can be finicky at times. My wife and I have tried a variety of vaping devices including Blu, EGO, e-Power, V3, Diamante and TOX Cannon. I have loads of batteries and chargers. It will never be as easy as pulling the foil off a cigarette pack, but its oh so worth it.

The main thing for me was finding the right flavor and the right device. I am currently using the Vision Stone 3 tank from Gotvapes on the Diamante from Vaprlife. It gives me an all day vape without having to drip. The diamante is a stylish variable voltage mod.

Finding the right flavor is very subjective. I mix my own juice using unflavored nicotine, PG and glycerine from MyFreedomSmokes. I get my flavor concentrates from Totally Wicked and rotate between 2 or 3 different flavors. By mixing yourself you can get the cost down to about $7 per 100 ml.

Keep at it and in the end you will save money and your health.

Yep my watermellon has been like vapor for 3 weeks now, today it's just uhhhh ok.. Key is to work in new flavors. So I think I need to get the other tank with cotton candy going. Then maybe blueberry or black cherry I keep about 10 flavors on hand so I don't get too bored with them. I still don't like my vanilla though so I need to change the mix.

maybe bump the nic level up a little. I did 20 for a bit but I still smoked a cig 3 times a day. I bumped up to 24 again and been doing fine. Not here for the flavor gimmie that nic!!

Hi! I am just 50 days in, so am still pretty new. I am one of those who has not smoked an analog since the moment I started vaping. I will tell you I did have a few rough, rough days in the first few weeks where I really wanted an analog. I am a huge fan of beer and one of my very worst times was when I had drank a few (too many...).
Although this has been the easiest tool I have ever used to stop smoking, I did have a few times when I felt like I was going to give in. I never have so far. The only thing I can say is, I was just so damn determined that I will never smoke again I vaped like a freak and managed to make it through. It does take some will power and determination at times. At least it did for me. Good news is though, that now, I don't have even the slightest craving for an analog, even when I am drinking and around other smokers.
As far as the juice not tasing good anymore, yep, went through that too. I ranged from it tasting crappy to basically not being able to taste it at all. This is a pretty common report from some vapers and will get better. It's good you have ordered some variety of juices, as this will help. I change flavors several times throughout the day and it helps you taste the flavors better and as I'm sure you have heard a lot before... drink, drink, drink water. So far, finding juice that I really like has been the hardest part of my vaping journey. I am just now getting set up to try my hand at DIY... so I will be embarking on yet another phase of learning.

I wish you the best as you continue on and send you some encouragement! Try not to sweat it though. Do what is right for you. If you feel like you just can't go without a smoke, then smoke one if you want. I think if you get so frustrated with not being satisfied with your current set up and juice that you will give up on vaping completely if you try and force it. We don't want that... LOL! Give it time and relax. Don't beat yourself up and I bet when your new gear arrives and you have some different flavors of juice so you can "mix it up" throughout the day, you are going to feel a whole lot better. You are going to make it!!! :toast:

Hang in there! I've only been vaping for almost a month, now, and have slipped an analog or two in there before finding the right equipment and e-liquid satisfaction in the first week or two. From my experience, though (and I'm sure a lot of other's have experienced this, too), the analogs taste NASTY after vaping even just a little while. I found that I couldn't even get through a couple of drags off an analog before becoming totally disgusted.

I still have a pack of analogs that I had purchased before my vaping supplies arrived. I keep them around "just in case." After the second week, though, I've found that I definitely prefer vaping over analogs, and there are still 18 analogs left in that pack. I'm not even tempted, now.

Finding the right flavors and rotating them helps tremendously. So does finding the right strength. I started DIYing e-liquids within the second week of vaping. I normally vape 18 mg juices, but keep a couple of 24 mg juices on hand for those times that I'm craving an analog.

It IS a psychological obstacle, too. You have to give it more time to allow your brain to accept this new habit as the superior one. Having an arsenal of flavors has helped me greatly. I'd so much rather be vaping a chocolate-covered strawberry or mint chocolate chip than smoking something that tastes like the ...-end of a camel, set ablaze.

Thank you... that does make me feel better... It is the same for me though with the taste... The taste is awful it is just habit and that sucks! But, yes... I am getting a little more excited than dismayed at getting my new devices :) Thank you

Yes, I have been there!!!!! And spent that!!!! :) Your tastebuds are recovering so tastes may seem different to you now. Additionally, make sure that your carto has enough juice. If it tastes burnt, it is time to refill or toss the carto. Good luck and hang in there. It gets better, I promise!!!

On that.... I realized that I was actually overfilling... not burnt... just way too much juice... finally figured out how to use it correctly after a few days of puffing on it... so thankfully now i can get a good pull with some pretty good vapor :)... thank you so much :))

CONGRATS.... to both you and your wife.... the first night that I switched and slept I had the strangest dreams but have not had any so far..... It is so strange though.... after reading several replies here... I actually think that I can say.... I think my problem is being picky and lazy! I am also bored of charging my 510 and the juice and all that... and it is very simple to just rip off the top and smoke an analog...

Gosh maybe this is a therapy session too..... getting to the bottom of the problem! :))

Once again congrats to the both of you and thank you!

LOL.... yes very true... it is very nasty... and thank you so much... :)) congrats to you! Making me feel much better... :))

It's probably just your taste buds changing, but it could also be from being dehydrated. Drink more water. After you are hydrated, you will be able to taste your flavors more, and they will taste much more pleasant. Water is very important.

Yes.... I agree with that.... I also have the urge to constantly brush my teeth so perhaps that has something to do with it as well!

Yes...yes..and...yes !! It is hard to find what works for you. But if you want to quit, put the time and effort into it, it works !!

I was 3 packs a day, and it took me a year of vaping and smoking to actually figure out what works.

If you need anything, please, send me a PM or ask anyone here, if we can help, I guarantee we will !!

There is another way to look at this as well. yep you spent some cash this month but no cigs. So well next month looks like your going to have what $100.00 to $250.00 to spend??? Hrmm can anyone say Spa for a day.. oh yea and that still leaves money left over to get more juices. Or you can go back to smoking and spend $250 next month and $250 the month after that ect ect.. . I kind of see where I would go at this point.

Might be time to up the excitement level and start DIY Juices save even more money have greater flexibility..

Persistence pays off! I have been vaping/analog free for just shy of two monthes, I just started using eliquid rather than prefilled cartos about a week ago. And I'm about to place a major eliquid order cuz apparently my tastes change several times a day, plus I'm still catching on to the refilling process lol. Trial and error! You will find what works for you! I wish I had some helpful advice, but I just wanted to say hang in there, you can do this!
