Hi everybody..

This is my first post to the forum, and even though I have a million questions on my mind, I chose as my first post to ask what I consider a key question that has been on my mind..how on earth will I be able to enjoy a good scotch without puffing on an analogue?? I realize that for most of you the question might not seem that important..most of you come from countries where smoking is banned in public places..so to be able to smoke while drinking you'd have to go out in the open air. In my country however, we're still able to smoke in pubs, bars and nightclubs..so..the weekly night out or the occasional drink after work do involve smoking. I tried vaping while having a drink..my juice is a mix of tobacco flavor (18% and 9%) in addition to a much lighter vanilla flavored juice. The result while fulfilling and enjoyable in normal times does not really cut it with a drink.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

cheers

Welcome to the ECF and congrats on your vape. The best way to alleviate the desire and need to smoke under any circumstance is with quality vape gear. Once one gets to a certain level of vaping, anything tobacco smoke related seems much less satisfying and nasty. Besides finding ones favorite juice to vape, what you cook you juice in becomes a key point in ones vape. You didn't mention what gear you have, but something like the Aspire Nautilus BDC tank may just solve you issues.

There is nothing smoke related that can possibly compare to what my vape gear can offer me. The flavors, smoothness and thickness of vape is soooo good, that any smoke product is subpar. Also once you have vaped for awhile, you'll discover how nasty smoking really is.

Vape long and Prosper!!

What device are you using? If it's something like an Ego... it's probably not enough. I'd pick up a Provari or a Vamo if you don't want to spend a lot. Just something that allows putting some real power behind the vape. Pick up a rebuildable atomizer for it and you'll be good.

more recently ive been using frakenvape with all sorts of ipa's mmm mmm mmm... its really up to finding something that compliments your drinks...then you will never turn back :)

I'm very classical when it comes to my drinks..you know..scotch, beer, wine..I guess I should be looking for an equally boring juice! :)

As might be expected..I started vaping a few days ago..so my gear is the eGo C4 (the automatic battery) fitted with a CE6 clearomizer. I spent the entire day reading on the forum and i'm planning to order from FT the following as an upgrade:

1. VAMO V5 (but I'm a bit concerned with the threading issue, so I' considering ordering iTaste SVD as a backup).
2. Protank (three of them)
3. Vivi Nova (five of them)
4. iClear 30S (three)
5. More CE6 (five)

As a newbie I am not entirely sure I am making the right decisions..so please feel free to make any suggestions.

appreciate your assistance guys and ladies

Can I be one of the minority to say go ahead and have a smoke with your scotch? There's no pressure to drop smoking all at once. If you want to smoke one, smoke one.. you're old enough to drink, so you're definitely old enough to decide when to smoke or not. I think that over time, as you get quality gear, and amazing juice, the smoke will start to affect you negatively, taste bad and make your clothes stink (especially when your sense of taste ans smell really come back), and the decision will be made for you without any effort on your end.

Quitting the smokes can be somewhat like a diet, in the sense that denying yourself causes greater cravings. If you go ahead and let yourself have one here and there, it may be easier to drop them altogether when you really want to.

It takes a little time but I love vaping and drinking now, which was a concern for me at first. I do up my nic strength and sometimes I even have an analog or two because my drinking brain "thinks" it will like the analog better than the vape...but not so much any more. Just keep on vaping regularly, and as time goes on you will figure out the vapeing drinking combo that satisfies you. Congrats!
