Travel and Vaping Vaping and flying?

I am going to be flying soon and i'm wondering if i might run into any trouble by bringing my e-cig with me. particularly DIY vials of liquid, i'm sort of worried if TSA might mistake these little vials as contraband and possibly hassle me over it. i'm sure that a 10mL vial would be allowed because i'm pretty sure there liquid rule is nothing more than a 1/2 fl oz...

i'm just worried about getting it through security, i'll just vape in designating smoking areas to avoid any hassle or else ask permission first. i can't just pack it in check in luggage because i don't check in luggage just carry one... plus obviously i'm going to want to use it on my lay over.

anyone have experience with this??

pittsburg from colorado and back. i'm not as concerned flying there as back because i am flying out of a small airport. but pittsburg is a bigger.
