My employer recently sent an e-mail to all employes stating that no tobacco products (including e-cigs) are to be used in company buildings and vehicles. It also stated that they are also not to be used in the view of any guests and employes are also responsible for not allowing any smell of tobacco to be on their person or clothes. Smoking etc. are allowed in specificified "smoking areas" only.
This is still better than the policy they had several years ago when there was a smoking ban enforced by urine testing. They found that they could not get enough "non-smokers" to apply to fill open positions.

Ooooooo
And what galls me is that everyone turns a blind eye when an employee comes to work with leftover booze on their breath from a drunken night before, huh?

@notscared, to tell you the truth, I was vaping openly until my boss told me to keep it outside, but that's the beauty of having cubicle walls....exhale towards the floor and no one's the wiser! That may sound insubordinate, but he is an older fella who doesn't really know what ecigs are, so several of my vaping coworkers and I simply keep it confined to our cubes and all is well.

Smoking/vaping ban enforced by urine testing?????????????? Gimme a break! No, thanks. I won't work for anyone that makes me pee in a cup for non-illegal substances! Drugs, fine, but nicotine??????????? NOPE!
