I can't say why, but I have read about it and there IS an explanation.
When I first started vaping the dehydration was horrible, severe.
I thought, heck, if this continues I'll be up the creek as I don't drink much.
I cant even force myself to drink much. I am not drinking too much more than
before I started vaping, but somehow, the severe extreme dry cotton mouth etc
has subsided. I am a chain vaper too.

The vapor attracts water molecules in your lungs, which condense into tiny droplets producing the fog that we see.

something like that anyway;

basically, you breathe in the stuff from the vape, and breathe out the stuff plus water vapor from your own lungs; effectively you lose more water from your lungs than you normally would.

Everyone's body is different and some, like my step-daughter and all her kids, guzzle liquids all day because they're just naturally thirsty people. The kids can't make it through the night without water sitting beside the bed. On the other hand, I'm a sipper naturally and never like drinking much of anything except morning coffee or iced tea with a meal. My SD has not noticed a greater need for liquids vaping but I did in the beginning. However, after over a year vaping I've evidentally adjusted somehow and don't as much anymore... maybe its more about detoxing than vaping? Climate has its own affect on hydration needs too.
