Has vaping changes your appetite? Since I've only really been vaping since Nov. 21. My appetite has change....use to have a huge appetite and somewhat of a picky eater....Now, friends and family, and seeing this myself.
It change drastically.....I don't eat as much as I use to and gotten way picky. If I don't like the smell of it, I won't eat it now instead of what I see. And ZOMFG the smell!!!! I knew I had somewhat a sensitive nose but didn't realize how bad. I had to beg my family to eat either garlic or mint to cover their breath(gasps). And people wearing 30 gal. of perfumes?!! zomfg now I feel for the non-smokers oh wait now I am one rofl.
I use to love the smell lemon and oranges.........now it does make me want to gag!
And my taste has changed as well I use to love smell of fresh linen and spices fragrances. Now I love the smell of outsdoorzie and flowery esp roses or lavender....

Ok I know some people sense of smell comes back after quit smoking but drastic changes? Anyone else going thru this as well?

Yup, I can feel for you. Though the drop in appetite is a good one for me as I am overweight, it is rather drastic. I realize now that it might be the "flavors" of e-cigs making me not so hungry. I feel like I've had a "treat" vaping cherry, or vanilla, or my chocolate mint chip...... and am no longer hungry for something.

The smell thing is just from not smoking I think. I quit smoking a year ago thereabouts, and for a while things didn't smell "good" or "normal" to me, although thats coming back to normal.

I noticed in INCREASE in appetite when I switched to vaping. I'm always hunting through my fridge now, instead of going out for another smoke (which effectively killed my appetite). It's probably because I just quit analogs, and I'm having the smoker's weight gain. I consider this a good thing though... 5 years of skipping meals made me a bit skinny.

My problem is that when I quit analogs and sense of smell/taste returned, food tastes so damn much better. I don't snack between meals but when it comes to mealtime, look out. I don't get hungry very easily but I always load my plate bigger than I should. I've gained a little but that is also because I'm on this forum all the time, sitting on my ...., and not getting enough exercise.

Same here. Good food tastes "gooder", bad food tastes "badder". LOL, I can't bear much fast food anymore. I know what you mean about 30 gallons of cologne. I thought some people wore too much when I smoked, now I just can't go near them.

I think there is a little "shock" that happens when you start to get your smell back, and remember that taste is mostly smell. I'm sure the sensitivity will die down a little bit once you get used to actually having the proper senses again.

I stopped 2 months ago. I have tried different vendors in which people raved about. My problem is that I don't or can't get the taste everyone is experiencing . My nose is really going through a rough time. It became almost raw inside, thank you vicks vapor rub, it is getting a lot better. So far the only true flavor I have enjoyed is coffee. Guess its because I'm a big coffee drinker. I am trying the DIY thing in hopes of getting the taste I can enjoy.

Maybe you have a PG allergy? Just wondering because of the nose/taste thing, perhaps you can't enjoy it because the PG in formulas are triggering problems? Maybe try an all VG mix and see if that helps.

Tomboy- most of the popluar vendors hand mix to order and you have to give the juice bottles at least a week or 2 (2 being more the narm) to steep (age)- this makes a huge difference. I hope this will help you

I eat about the same so i would have to say no on this one, but smelling well that is different. 2 weeks after i gave up the analog's i had to wash all of my clothes and febreeze the crap out of my closet because i couldn't walk in there no more without gagging.

With all VG, I can't taste anything. Its almost like a heavy oil taste. Trying the DIY, and today I got some PG in and mixed it with one of the bottles I didn't throw away. Added more flavor and PG and I can taste the Blueberry. It's not a perfect mix, but at least I know that adding the PG is helping. Now I'm just waiting on the other flavors I ordered so I can product something I have a craving for. Wish me luck. Being new and going through the forum is like taking a college course. So much information and different ways people do things.

If I vape all day I can make it til dinner time without eating. Pretty typical side effect of any stimulant.

i am not sure this is healthy to wait all day to eat, but i am finding that i am doing this too. i am of the mentality of only eat when hungry, and i am just never hungry anymore. perhaps its the dessert flavorings in the juices i vape, but i just also dont feel like the real thing is as satisfying on my tastebuds and in my stomach as the vapor flavorings of the same thing.

Who knows what's healthy anymore. I've spent much of my life reading about dieting. There are even diets out there that recommend only one big meal a day, citing that our ancestors used to hunt and forage all day and feast in the evening. lol

Appetite suppressing properties of the vaping habit can only be considering a good thing with all the food around this time of year!
