I stopped 2 months ago. I have tried different vendors in which people raved about. My problem is that I don't or can't get the taste everyone is experiencing . My nose is really going through a rough time. It became almost raw inside, thank you vicks vapor rub, it is getting a lot better. So far the only true flavor I have enjoyed is coffee. Guess its because I'm a big coffee drinker. I am trying the DIY thing in hopes of getting the taste I can enjoy.

I feel your pain. I can vape coffee flavors, so long as they aren't sweet. Flavors I should love, like fruits, chocolates, vanillas, etc.... taste like burning sickly sweet chemicals. I have really started to investigate the 'common ingredient' that I'm tasting. Hoping the vendors will help me out with this.
Good luck to you, but until things change, may I suggest Backwoods Brew Espresso. It's my daily for now.

I have only been off analogs since Sept. but I started vapin' like 6 weeks ago because my appetite went WAAYY through the roof without the analogs. Since I started vapin' I am actually getting my normal analog appetite back. I do agree with classwife about vapin the desert flavors, but I haven't really been a big sweet eater...more of a savory person myself, though I do love chocolate, but with the choco juices I haven't really had the cravings for chocolate. I am debating trying some of the bacon flavor from ms T but don't know about that one.

Interestingly, I find a similar thing

8 days in and my nose is recoiling at foods I used to like. I think it is just hypersensitivity - rather like a man who wore eye bandages for months, taking them off can be a painfull thing. I expect it will pass as I get used to all the new stimulus at mealtimes.

Right now my appetite is down but mainly due to the unexpected smell/taste thing.

The smell of people smoking still seems okay to me, but not appealling. But WOW, the stink of my smoking friends when they are NOT smoking... gawd, they stink from so far away it is unreal. I was standing behind a woman in a newsagents today and I felt like vomiting from the stench of stale smoke on her... I can't recall smelling anything like that before.

I'm sure my nose will settle down soon and I'll enjoy food much more, but the smell of stale smoke on someone, that smell is just horrible and, as a 20 a day man, I sincerely apologise to any non-smoker who ever had to stand next to me.

Most ciggie smokers who quit by traditional methods gain weight not due to the returning appetite, but the replacement of the hand to mouth habit. By vaping, even low nic vaping, you are continuing that motion. It appears (among my pals who vape now) that there is a return of appetite in that food just tastes better, but there is very low to no weight gain at all when they changed from ciggies to vaping. My personal experience was that I have not gained an ounce, but even lost weight when I started. Simply due to being able to walk more than 20 feet without huffing and puffing and feeling exhausted. I walk tons more now, and feel awesome!

The fresh/stale smoke smell...oh, the horror...oh, the infamy....we never knew. We smelly few. And we used to feel insulted when they spoke of banning smoking ciggies in restaurants and bars. Now, we know why.
